Fun family restaurant discovery this weeekend! While passing through LaCrosse, WI (right on the WI/MN border) we decided to explore a local pizza place called Pizza Doctors. We were lured in by their pizza buffet (helpful with a van of teenage boys)! What a fun and interesting place!
Pizza Doctors has a full “medical theme” to the place - including a kitchen marked the “operation room,” a drink counter labeled “anesthetics,” and bathrooms cleverly marked “it’s a boy” or “it’s a girl!” There are plenty of medical gags and decorations throughout.
The place offered a pizza buffet for lunch 7 days a week! As well as a dinner buffet. Buffets include a beverage and a pretty well stocked salad bar. Full menu options, as well. There is also a kiddie play room in one corner with some basic toys and activities. There looked to be a lot of specials on the list - from $1 off student specials to a free buffet on your birthday.
Food was great, when it was fresh out of the oven. Fun and unique dessert pizzas, too. The only downfall to this place is that it looks like it is ready for a good remodel soon - some of the “corners” of the place seem a bit dingy and outdated. We would go back, though, if we were in the area!
