The Beta Test will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on May 10 via IFC Films. The 2021 dark comedy thriller is currently available on Digital and streaming on Hulu.
Jim Cummings (The Wolf of Snow Hollow, Thunder Road) and PJ McCabe write, direct, and star together. Virginia Newcomb and Jessie Barr round out the cast.

A soon to be married Hollywood agent receives a mysterious letter for an anonymous sexual encounter and becomes ensnared in a sinister world of lying, infidelity, and digital data.
Amusing, dark satire. It's exciting!
Jim Cummings plays the stressed, fast talking guy on the verge of a nervous breakdown so very well.
That it may ruin existing relationships aside, but using data mining of social media information in such a way seems like a much better use compared with, let's say, facilitating coups and genocides, and increasing teen suicides. And I'm sure it would be a success.
