It was been a couple months since you were introduced into the cast. The cast lost for season three haven’t come out yet so no fan knew about you yet.
It was so cool being a part of the cast. You literally fit right in. Gossiping with Tamara and Dior, laughing with Leah, having fun with Walker, aryan, and Charlie, and chatting to Daniel.
It was a great bunch, and you loved being a part of it.
Filming was over for the day, for everyone, and Charlie suggested you all should go to dinner. you hadn’t eaten lunch that day and dinner sounded like a call from the heavens, so it was obvious you agreed.
After calling a taxi and walking out the studio, you slit into two groups.
Girls and boys, to get into the two taxis.
It had taken maybe 20 minutes to finally arrive at the restaurant. It was a small, cozy, Chinese place. Not a lot of people. But enough to fill the air with the soft chatter of them.
You had sat down in the at the end of the table to the right of walker, that was usually the case. Charlie at the head like some king of the table. Aryan and Daniel left of walker. Tamara Leah and Dior on the other side of the table.
Sure it was hard to hear the girls at times but you made it work.
After everyone got their food that’s when the talking stopped. You know the foods good when no one’s talking in the middle of eating.
While taking a sip from your cup you glanced to your left, noticing walker was looking at you.
“What?” You asked, maybe a little too aggressively. You needed to work on that.
I raised his arms, slightly, a show of mock surrender. A small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “Just thinking.”
“About?”
“You said you danced?”
‘Oh. Oh, okay then. No need to act nervous.’ There was really no reason to feel so nervous under his gaze, but those blue eyes? Yeah, no.
“Yeah, I do. I’ve been doing since I was a kid,” you replied, honestly, taking a sip of your drink.
“So you’re like insanely good at it?”
“I wouldn’t say that—“
“Show me,” he interrupted.
‘Show you!? Here? Now?’ Shit, there is reason to act nervous. You’d never really danced in front of your friends cuz they asked. Meaning, you never danced in front of your friends.
You’d think you’d be used to the attention. With all the people staring at competitions and when you were acting.
But this was different.
Was it really? You didn’t know.
After way for than a second of thinking. “Now?” Stupid question.
He chuckled softly. “If you wanna dance in the middle of the restaurant, be my guest,” he joked.
“Yeah, stupid question,” you muttered, looking down at your plate. You felt the heat creep up your neck before clearing your throat.
You needed to be confident, even with how hard it was to keep your cool.
“I mean, I can take you to my dance studio.. if you want?” You asked, honestly hoping he’d say no.
“Yeah, great. That be cool. You could teach me some moves.”
You laughed softly. “Sure,” you took a sip of your drink, again, This time looking up at Leah. She shot you a knowing look and you rolled your eyes.
After dinner you all decided to call it a night.
Leaving the restaurant, the breeze hitting your face.
As everyone started walking ahead to the taxi bay, you and walker trained behind a bit. You were showing him pictures and videos of your competitions as a kid.
Laughing at some ridiculous outfits they’d put you in.
“Yo, guys come on,” you heard Charlie say over the sound of the annoying song playing from your phone.
You both looked up at the same time and said, “one sec!” You both looked at each other at the same time and yelled “jinx!” Before bursting out laughing.
That made half the group roll their eyes.
Leah only smirked.
“You guys coming or not?” Dior asked.
“Well, actually I was gonna head to my dance studio for a bit,” you said a bit quieter, like you needed their permission.
“And I’m going with,” walker added.
“Don’t stay out late,” Tamara said, her accent a heavy change from Dior and Charlie’s.
“We won’t,” you said.
As the rest got into the taxis you and walker had started making your ways down the street, heading for your dance studio.
Making small talk was easy, mostly about his quote, unquote “amazing dance skills and how he could out dance you.”
You chuckled. “Sure, you can. And how long have you been dancing, mr dancer?” You teased.
“A whole of,” he paused, “two minutes.”
That made you laugh. It was kinda infuriating how easy he made it to laugh.
As you both entered the studio, you said ‘hi’ to the receptionist, as she gave you the key to your dance class.
You lead walker through the building and upstairs, finding your dance classroom and unlocking it.
“Tada..!” You said softly, opening the door and flipping on the light switch. The room was fairly big, big enough to fit at least forty kids, and with kids flipping and twirling around you’d need the space.
In the corner of the room there was a big bulletin board, next to the wall sized mirror. The board was filled with photos of students dancing and competition posters. Some students mid jump. Some on stage. But one caught his eye.
It was a photo of you. A photo of you mid flip. You looked beautiful in your element, your hair perfectly framing your face, even when you were upside down.
You strolled up beside him to take a glance at what he was looking at.
“That was a few weeks ago, my teacher loves that photo,” you explained, softly. He didn’t say anything, that irked you. He was just staring. What if you looked weird? Double chin, maybe?
“That’s so cool!” He exclaimed softly.
“Hah.. thanks.”
When he finally looked at you he was smiling. You smiled back. “Pick a song,” you said.
“What?”
“A song. To dance too,” you explained, walking to the speakers and turning it on. “We are in a dance studio.”
“Well, what songs do you normally dance too?”
You thought for a second, before pulling out your phone and turning to face the speakers.
Suddenly I see, by KT tunstall, filling the room.
As the guitar played you out your phone down, turning back to him.
“This was one of the first songs I danced to as a kid, it felt fitting.” You tapped your foot to the rhythm.
“Yeah, it does,” the blonde said softly, walking over to grab both your hands.
You laughed softly as he pulled you into the middle of the room.
He lifted your intertwined fingers above your head and spun you as you laughed, slowly getting more comfortable with him.
You didn’t realise in the moment but as you twirled, jumped, moved, it felt so natural, Like you’ve been dancing with him for years.
It wasn’t until the music faded and he dipped you dramatically, securing his arm around your waist and one arm pointed to the ceiling, you snapped back into the real world.
You stood back up normally, still smiling, your hands on his shoulders, his going around your waist.
“You’re not bad, mr dancer.”
“I know,” he said, confidently, flipping his imaginary long hair.
You laughed softly, realising how close you two actually were.
It went quiet. The only thing being heard was the faint buzz of the ac.
He stared. You stared back.
You saw his gaze fall to your lips before back up. You opened your mouth to speak before the receptionist came through the door, before pausing.
You quickly put your arms down and stepped away from walker as he did the same.
“Oh, sorry to.. interrupt, but we’re closing.”
You both nodded before grabbing your stuff and walking past her. It wasn’t until you were out of the building you finally took a breath.
You didn’t wanna talk about what you felt in the quiet studio. The way you could feel his breath of your cheek, or how his blonde curls moved softly when he moved his head. You were not gonna talk about it.
He stuffed his hands on his pockets, walking beside you quietly. Eventually, he cleared his throat, making you look at him.
“We should get a taxi, yeah?”
“Yeah.”
‘Good idea being stuck in a car together for like twenty minutes,’ you thought, most definitely not saying that out loud.
once you had found a taxi bay, you two found a taxi and slipped in. Only saying the address of the hotel and keeping quiet.
This was gonna be a long drive.
heyooo!! Thanks again for reading my fic :D
