What a day

A day that started getting up at 2:30am PST to go to the airport ended at 2am EST when i finally was able to go to sleep after seeing an epic Pearl Jam show in Philadelphia. All the in between stuff is a bit of a blur, other than me befriending a 9 month old baby named Oscar who sat next to me on the flight from Denver to Philly. He was a cute little kid who wouldn't stop looking and smiling at me, wanting to talk with me in his native language (gibberish). All in all, it was an incredible day, it's also great to see and hang out with my sister Kathy. It's like the old days, but better, because now I'm in a place where I can take care of myself and am better off in life than I was just 3 short years ago when we last did a Pearl Jam show (in LA). I will say this, all the hype about shows in Philadelphia being epic, is absolutely true. The crowd brought the energy, intensity, and joy that one can experience seeing this band live. From the first row of people by the stage to the top row of luxury suites everyone was rocking out, having a good time, not being rude to each other, all there to share as one group our common love for the band. I know it was night one, with another here tonight before moving on the MSG this weekend, but I don't know how the shows will get better
