i think taiga and shinei both annoy me for similar reasons, which i'd describe as the (unfulfilled) duty to the next generation. in simpler terms, they both went out of their way to crush children's dreams, which is uncool for anyone, but especially for people with the privilege of being role models to the kids.

i mean, taiga's got a full-on baby boomer mentality, so set on mourning the good old days that he refuses to let things be good ever again. and shinei has a mentality of projection, assuming his kid is just like him (but weaker because child and also girl) so he denies her the future in which she could have become more.

what really makes them both hateable is the dimension of irony. taiga wants to honor his sister's memory, but he spits in the face of her final wishes to have someone carry on their legacy. failing in the duty she left him. shinei wants to protect his daughter, but he fucks her up so badly she becomes suicidal. failing in the duty of a father.

of course this, for shinei, is a tragedy, while taiga got the exact outcome he wanted when he devastated those kids. that's why my escalating disdain toward shinei is mainly for the bit, while taiga i genuinely can't stand.

so to conclude... idk men ain't shit? except ken. these two should learn from ken.

Had this side character swap unit shelved since around July.. Now’s a good time to present them, I’d say!

(Below the cut are some extras from back when they were first drafted)

Here goes! The general gist of these lot was that they were a, well, niigo-based swap unit. I did write their ‘theme’ (the core of their unit, similar to 25ji themselves and identity) down at some point, that being the image below!

Here’re their info-cards (I didn’t exactly note if these were on the first year or Brand New World (likely the former), you’re free to interpret this as either one)!

Oh, and they got covers (in regard to the commissions, Slow Downer stands as their untitled song, while Anti-You is their BNW/Image song — Extra note; Call Boy was on the roster for Asahi and Mio, which I firstly find really goofy, and secondly, did not include in the tier list on accident).
