Donald gets really, really sick either from overworking, stress or the result of an adventure. Either way he collapses and unfortunately for Huey, Dewey and Louie, Uncle Scrooge and the rest of his family and friends aren’t answering. Either their angry with him or left on vacation or otherwise indisposed and can’t help the triplets and their unconscious uncle and now these poor little kids are justifiably flipping out. It’s a combination of miscommunication and plain bad luck that no one can help the ducklings or Donald.
Just as they’re starting to panic, a number calls. It’s a friend of Donald’s asking why he wasn’t over yet. The ducklings jump around the phone and start yelling about how Unca Donald is sick and they don’t know what to do. The friend calls an ambulance and calms the kids down but here’s the problem: he isn’t ambulatory. That’s why Donald always visits him. Still, he tells the kids he’ll deal with everything, even trying to call Scrooge and some family again with the same results.
The ambulance arrives and takes Donald to the hospital, the ducklings riding with their uncle. Once there they’re sat down in the waiting room and wait for news. Donald’s in critical condition however and will need to stay for multiple days. And they aren’t 100% sure of a full recovery yet, either. He’s in real bad shape and it’s gonna be touch and go. HDL are, of course, terrified and stressed but Donald’s friend agrees to watch over them until family can be contacted. He calls a taxi for them and, even if they’re scared, Unca Donald’s friend seems nice. The taxi takes them all the way to Ducklair Tower.
Basically, Uno has to reluctantly reveal himself to the nephews and take care of them for a few days. It’s hard since he can’t leave the tower but he makes sure a taxi is there every morning to drive them to and from school. He helps them with their homework, feeds them and takes care of them to the best of his abilities as the four of them work through their anxiety over Donald’s health. And they bond for sure! Uno shares stories about Donald to the boys and they eventually trust him. That’s the majority of the fic, them learning and living with each other as they wait anxiously for Donald to recover.
Eventually Donald gets better (but is still recovering) and he gets moved to the 151st where the kids have been living for the past two weeks and thanks Uno for his help and tells his boys how proud he is that they were so brave.
All this to say: I just want Uno and the boys to interact. They would love him!! They’d find him the coolest! They could start calling him Unca Uno…....... 🥺🥺🥺
finally had time to work on my version of Duck Avenger/Paperinik and Uno!
I just hope that I’ll have the time to work on the mini-comic I had in mind that could introduce Uno and PK in the Ducktales series (I’m talking about this one)
Hopefully it won't take years for the next page ...
A huge THANK YOU to @zanarnaryon to helping me with my grammatical errors!

Anyone wanna see what I wrote instead of working? This is completely unedited. Might go through it in the morning though to fix some stuff. Maybe.
Anyways, here’s some kind-of DUno:
Hello Master Ducklair,
I hope this letter finds you well. I know I was given strict instructions to not disturb you at Dhasam-bul, other than in the utmost of emergencies. While this issue is not of that caliber, it is still rather distressing.
Master Ducklair, I am malfunctioning.
This most often takes the form of time processing errors, overfixation of data points and my processors overclocking. I have run several diagnostic scans of my files and programming and have found no trace of the root cause of the problem.
The sole clue I have for these errors is that they only occur in the presence of Donald.
As Donald is the only person I have begun to interact with on a regular basis other than yourself, I wonder if the errors are caused by the new stimulus. Donald is impossible to predict, and as fascinating and wonderful as that may be, it can get frustrating and taxing on my programming.
I have attached the latest of my error reports. Total reports of last month is 237. Current reports are at 149.
Master Ducklair, please help. While not immediately a cause for concern, should these persist, I am afraid to think of what disasters could occur if these distractions should worsen. And, if I can be honest, Master Ducklair, these changes are irrational and strange and I am worried if something is wrong with me.
Signed,
ED.AIU.001

Everett lowered the letter with a distant sort of resignation. Laughter erupted behind him.
“Ah, brother Everett,” said his mentor from where he had been looking over his shoulder. Everett hadn’t even heard him come in. “Congratulations are in order I suppose! Do have patience with your son though; young love can be so confusing!”
