"Your Pikachu seems to respect you quite a bit." Volkner considered himself to be pretty good at reading Pokemon, especially Electric-type Pokemon. It was nice to see a trainer that had a close bond with his Pokemon. "That's important for becoming a great trainer."

When people thought of God they probably thought of an all-powerful being that went around smiting people or something like that. Well, the image did not match what Koko was doing right now, which was sweeping Hala's porch. Yeah, the deity was currently helping Hala tidy up a bit. Sure Hala was still healthy but he was also getting on in years. Besides, Koko just wanted to be nice to Hala. He had done so much for the Island it was only fair for the Island to give back to him.
Anyway, while he was sweeping, he noticed that someone was approaching. He was about to give a generic answer until he noticed who was approaching.
"Sorry, Kahuna Hala isn't here right now, but just- Wait, Ash? What are you doing here?" Wait, it was then that Koko realized that he hadn't interacted with Ash in his human form yet. Oops.
‘ shout out to the people who are still friends with me even though i’m a fucking idiot. ’ from ash to brock?
"You're not an idiot, Ash. You just do idiotic things sometimes." Did that come out right? "Besides, you've got a great heart. All of your friends can see that."

Steven was exploring the cave to find more specimens to add to his collection. There wasn't any stone in particular that he was searching for today and he was only in this cave since he had passed by it. Things had been relatively quiet and this was the perfect place for him to relax. The quiet was interrupted by his Aron alerting him about an approaching trainer.
Once the trainer was in his sight, he glanced over to the younger trainer. "Be careful not to make too much noise. Quite a few Pokemon are around here napping."

"You alright, kid?" While Jessie wasn't a friend to Ash, she didn't enjoy seeing the younger trainer appear upset (even though that would be the result if she were to successfully steal his Pikachu, but she had begun to move on from that being an actual goal). Over the time of knowing him, she had actually become more of a hopeful supporter that wanted to see him succeed rather than an enemy that wanted to stop him. Not that she would ever actually admit that though.
"I haven't even done anything to you today yet." No failed traps or anything.

The Professor was pondering what his next teaching moment for the Trainer's School would be. He had already done a display on some of the regional differences between Pokemon species, among other subjects. While there were numerous topics he could tell them about that he had studied, he preferred subjects that could allow the students to get a more hands-on experience since that was how he felt he learned best. There was also the fact that he wasn't quite sure just what the younger generation found interesting.
Thankfully though, he had a houseguest who he felt would be able to give a good perspective on what he should do. "Hey, Ash. Are there any questions that you've got now that you've been in Alola for a bit?"
