Honestly, I’m very curious as to how Hak’s holding himself together after that surprise kiss. Something, however, that I caught onto was how he tried to brush it off after his mini heart attack. “If I react to everything the princess does….” What, Hak? What if you do? I think he believes she did what she did out of pure pressure. What he should have to think about is…

She’s never done anything like that before. She’s aware of man/woman relationships, but not related to her. Especially not with Hak. Hak, of all people. It was always Soo-won. And, even…if it wasn’t of her own will…she knows she has to let go of those feelings. On that note. Hak has deluded himself to believe he’ll never have a chance with her. Deep down, he likely believes she still loves his enemy. Which is heart plummeting for him. He protects her. Always has her within arm’s length. Never lets her step outside his boundaries. Loves her. Teases her. Knows her. And she probably still loves…him. The man who hurt her. Pushed her away. Exiled her, almost. Threw away her precious feelings. Merely tolerated her that day. On her birthday. Even shut her up with a hairpin. Doesn’t know jack about her heart and how fragile she was. And now, how strong she’s become.

Didn’t he know what he had? The princess’s heart? Her love? Her admiration? He casually threw it away, for what? The kingdom. Power. Or, at least, in Hak’s mind. Along with the Happy Hungry bunch and Darkness dragon, we, too, are being kept from Soo-won’t true intentions. Desires.

So, in truth, that composed anger is keeping him from seeing what chance he has now. Because now, he holds the princess’s heart. And she has given it to him. Who’s the oblivious one now, huh, Hak?
