🍁 October 2nd from 9am - 3pm Join us for a volunteer day chopping up six downed trees that need to be removed from animal habitats. Volunteers must be 18 years or older, strong enough to safely use a chainsaw and wood splitter, and sign a liability waiver. Vegan chili, cornbread, and salad will be provided to volunteers for lunch! Please do not bring children to this volunteer day or other adults who are not volunteering; there will be no child supervision or tours offered on this day. ⭐️ So much gratitude to all of you who have followed along with our story over the last week, shared, donated funds, and volunteered. We are only able to do the important work or saving animals because of you! We’ve updated our emergency plan even more after learning from this evacuation and will be raising money later this year for a welded-on ramp for our existing trailer, more infrastructure for the animals, and hopefully, a large air conditioned stock trailer for our animal residents and helping with future evacuations of other sanctuaries in Northern California as wildfire threats are, unfortunately, going to remain a part of our immediate future.
