BEXEY
VILLIAN TEARS
CHICAGO 2017
By AMIRSGALLERY
“Cutthroat Smile” by BEXEY feat. $uicideboy$ prod. by Stereoryze
“Cutthroat Smile” is a collab between two staples of underground rap that’s long overdue. $uicideboy$ & BEXEY have been some of the most gifted rhymers going back to 2014-15, so it’s crazy that it’s taken them this long to get on a track together.. The snippet BEXEY posted a while back was already sounding like one of his best, but the presence of Ruby & $crim really elevates the track near the top of his discography, and the visuals cement it’s place firmly there.
“Forever In Progress” by BEXEY
There’s been a great many write ups on this website about BEXEY not receiving the credit he deserves, but finally, on this momentous day, I am pleased to announced that BEXEY is finally receiving the credit he deserves. Thanks in large part to Lil Peep remaining loyal and casting his increasingly powerful light in the London artist’s direction, BEXEY is now starting to gain traction as the distinct personality, and unique talent we’ve always known him to be. As an opener on both Peep’s U.S. and worldwide “Come Over When You’re Sober” tour, BEX is reaching more fans than ever before, and demonstrating his star power in ways we’re only now beginning to see.

“MYTH KILLA” by BEXEY
When Young Thug said “everytime I dress myself it go motherfuckin’ viral”, I felt that, and apparently BEXEY did too, cause his fit on the cover of his recent “MYTH KILLA” EP is second only to Thugger’s “Jeffery” cover in terms of sheer absurdity. The music is just as wild as the clothing though, as the sonics of BEXEY’s latest project are incomparable to just about anything else on the market. The London MC has clearly found a lane all his own, and don’t be surprised if he continues to push it in increasingly outrageous directions with subsequent releases.

“Winter Madness” by BEXEY
Considering the uphill battle grime artists have had trying to make it big in the states, I can only imagine the mountain BEXEY’s going to have to climb to get on. At some point though, I truly think his talent will prevail. His melodic sensibilities are continuing to sharpen, he’s added several new cadences on this project specifically, and his flow is still on a level far passed pretty much every other rapper doing it right now. He just needs one smash hit, and I think a lot more ears will open up to the uniqueness that is the Planet Switchaz movement.
