A mysterious organization dedicated to the defense of planet Earth from alien lifeforms, PlanetWatch is quite possibly the most divisive superhero team on the block. Between their blatant disregard for innocent lives, their tendency to ignore supervillains that lack any alien influence, and their disregard for the possibility of redemption, they've managed to burn every bridge with every other superhero team, and some even argue they're just another bunch of villains with delusions of grandeur. Not that it bothers any of them.
MEMBERS
"The Higher Ups" - the mysterious benefactors of the PlanetWatch organization, the only people who the PlanetWatch heroes answer to. Whomever they are, they're rich enough to afford all the tech the group uses with seeming abandon.
"Metallo" - A mecha seemingly powered by the anti-psionic material known as Kryptonite. Such a rare power source would be inconvenient even at the best of times, but when psionic energy users find they can't just make a problem go away with "Power Word Teleport", they find themselves short on options.
"Atomic Skull" - From a college kid experiencing burnout to a living nuclear reactor, Atomic Skull would not look out of place hanging out with Ghost Rider and Dr. Phosphorous. The advanced tech suit that PlanetWatch provides not only filters out the radiation making him able to live in close proximity to humans without irradiating them half-to-death, but allows him to weaponize it for battle. He's convinced that the thing that made him an atomic skeleton was alien, so he's especially pissed off by aliens.
"Engineer" - Nobody's quite sure how this woman became the way she is - while at rest her body looks about the same as you expect from someone her age, in a minute she can reform her limbs into weapons, rearrange her bodyparts into new configurations, and even pull off some stuff with her body that Reed Richards wouldn't try. According to the official story, she sacrificed her humanity by being infused with nanomachines to be able to pull this off, but nothing humanity has on the nano-level could be able to do such things as of yet, leading to some mystery about this lady.
"Solarman" - The most mysterious member of PlanetWatch, a selective mute who possesses powers eerily similar to a Kryptonian, but seems content to follow the orders of the Higher Ups. It's unclear if he's a surviving Kryptonian or some similar race, and even if it was clear the question of why he joined a famously anti-alien organization remains. Some even say that whomever created PlanetWatch also created him somehow, though the proof hasn't been found... yet.
"The idea that some people may freely poison others is one of the most astonishing but least contested aspects of modern life. It’s time we saw past the lies and the culture wars. It’s time to stop accepting our daily poisoning on behalf of corporate profits."
