And now the first Sumdac of the Form 3 era, courtesy of @Dynosauria, who wanted a mechanic with the dress of a Victorian Maid and mostly mechanical/artificial forms, based on the combination of some of the bosses of Silksong and a character from Genshin Impact (and at least one other thing involving a cute girl with a camera for a head lol)
Look I had to with the most recent Genshin update adding her as a playable character. And with her whole thing being a mechanic (and herself a machine) I thought why not have her forms based off of a certain family of bosses and enemies that are also mechanical. The clockwork bugs of silksongs citadel.
First Aide is obviously based off of pulonia (rip) who was (until the bitch bird doctor killed him) bascially sandrone's own personal companion. And is also the first Stentarian transformation, I think period.
Second Sentinel is based off of second sentinel (another no brainer) with them being a toa of wind as second sentinel's fight involes a lot of jumping and attacks from mid-air on sentinel's part.
Third generator was pitched as a sorberian-an extinct species from 5yl and the species that kellen geoff's personal favorite custom alien energuy is one of. Though evidently it was changed to a sonorosian. Probably for maybe the Sorberian being a bit op or their lore or something. I'm not sure but I'm not too sad over it. Though I may have just misspelt Sorberian in the pitch and he just assumed it was sonorsian, aw well too late now.
Fourth Chorus is based off of Fourth Chrous. And is the biggest of all the transformations (fitting since Chorus is the biggest of all the cogwork class of enemies/bosses)
Fifth Scavenger is based off of the cogwork defenders. I was contemplating whether to base them off the maestros in order to add the cogfly's into this, but I decided to stay fully in the cogwork core theming since maestros are found in high halls and are lorewise more a part of the choir than anything cogwork related.
Sixth Audio is based off of the record-playing statue things from the architect three-fold melody room. Cause I accidently spoiled myself with that part of the game and I just love the three-fold melody too much to not refernce it in the omnidroid that's a walking silksong reference (also Genshin and reverse but shush)
Seventh Cleaner is based on the Cogwork Cleanser's. I made them a cascan since I don't think there are any steam-using mechanical/semi-mechanical species in autoca canon and I assume with how cascans in the reboot can change the state of water they could create steam as a form of attack like how they can create ice constructs and stuff.
Eight recorder was in my pitch based off of loggerhead from reverse 1999 which she still clearly is, but now clearly made to appear much more like some other musume types. Also, first musume omnidroid transformation
Ninth Dancer is based off the cogwork dancers. Dancer and Aide were kinda tricky for me to figure out what species to make them. My ideas for what species they would be ranged from mini-cons, Geth, and Catharsians. Though I ended up with stentarian for aide and lithonan for Dancer.
And Tenth Architect is based off of twelfth Architect; I couldn't call it twelfth since there's only a maximum of ten transformations and Tsukasa getting four additional transformations is something probably not happening anytime soon for other omnidroids. To Tenth it is.
Also, two side facts I'm mentioning now since I got no other place to mention them at.
I purposely did not mention Fagio here at all since this was made before her reveal and I like pulonia more.
In the pitch description I also kind of referenced to a version of columbina being one of her friends and popping up at her parties. Not sure if that's canon or not. Just wanted to get this out since I'm a sandbina shipper and I had to at least reference the two of them being heavily associated with each other in here.
Oh, Soberian from 5YL!
(Probably should've asked, but as well, my b)
World of Heroes R - The Brotherhood of Mutants
Natural-born Metahumans. Metafolk. The empowered. Mutants. All are names used to separate the naturally talented from the rest of humanity by the ignorant. Instead, they should be addressed by their true name - Homo Superior.
For too long, humanity has tried to oppress those that stand apart, hammer them down like nails on a board. Eric Magnus had seen what people are able and willing to do to other people when unopposed, and he sought to give the Homo Superior a fighting chance to forge their own destiny, not acting as heroes for these weaklings, but as their own people. People called him a villain for that, a terrorist, a freak who would never belong, and that was fine. He didn't need their approval to live. He just needed them to know their place.
It has been two years since "Magneto" sacrificed himself for the sake of Homo Superior (and humanity too I guess) but his vision has been continued with the resumed activity of the Brotherhood he's forged, and his name may ring out as a symbol for those who seek their own future. Provided, of course, those well-meaning meddlesome X-Men don't get it in their heads that they're solely responsible for the future of metakind.
World of Heroes R - HIVE
The Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Extermination is, on paper, a small private militia with no real goal other than serving their clients to the best of their ability. In practice, it's more akin to a cult of highly trained warriors. Once a member of HIVE has been hired for a job, be it for righteous or evil reasons (usually the latter all things considered), the organization pulls some strings to make sure they have plenty of backup. Their ideology is quite simple, really - obedience makes good, and might makes right.
I'm here to say Transformers is not mecha. I mean, look at Optimus Prime.
How does that look like a Gundam to you?
I know this question must be asked to stonecrusherdrawsthearts:
Is it just me, or does Murk look like Thanos?
Not my department but lemme check the Doylist department.
Hey, Doylist Deparment here
Hm. Uncannily so. Curious...
And for the record, his name is "Munk", not "Murk." That's an Atlantean Warrior in DC. Common mistake I know.
Happy Terrible Comic Day and also artfight in a week lol
World of Heroes R - Spectrums of the Lantern Corps
Within the wider universe, there is a power that cannot be denied - emotion. All sentient beings feel this thing, that concept that guides them forward into the future, but only a few can tap into the power itself, granting them abilities keyed to their primary emotional focus. The Lanterns of Power, specialized reactors that harness this energy, have produced in them seven shades of emotional energy that allow those granted this power the means to act as guardians of the galaxy.
GREEN: The Color of Determination. Though often cited as "Willpower," in truth the emotion that drives the green spectrum is determination, allowing its agents to act decisively. This emotional energy is the most wide-ranging, and indeed most members of the Lantern Corps have green rings, leading many to assume that the organization is the "Green Lantern Corp."
BLUE: The Color of Hope. While gifted with the same capacity of action as their green counterparts, Blue Lanterns are not subject to the same issues - they can't run out of determination when faced with impossible tasks. Indeed, they seem to make the impossible seem possible.
YELLOW: The Color of Fear. Where the Green Lanterns derive their power from belief of the self, and the Blue derive it from hope of a better tomorrow, the Yellow Lanterns derive their power from fear. Their enemy's fear, that of the people who get worried about the future, even their own, it doesn't matter, fear is fuel for their fire. Sure, some people think they're extreme, or even outright evil, but sometimes reminding people to fear consequences is the way to go. So says their leader, Sinestro.
ORANGE: The Color of Avarice. While in theory, Orange Power Rings should be easier to get then even Green, in practice there's rarely more than one Orange Lantern at a time. The power of greed is a very... strong ability, and the shade is kinda neat, and it doesn't hurt the eyes aND IT'S MINE MINE MINE! YOU CAN'T HAVE IT! MIIIIIIINE!
*ahem*
Sorry, don't know what came over me.
INDIGO: The Color of Empathy. Indeed, the Rings of the Indigo Lanterns are given not just to the normal man, but to those that need it. Some might be considered sociopaths, others might be social pariahs who decided to play the part of evil, and others just found evil fun, but once the ring is on, their minds are opened. Perhaps the best example of this is "Munk", a man who once led a crusade to devastate entire populations of the galaxy until he ran into Indigo-1.
VIOLET: The Color of Love. The only group of the corp to forgo the Lantern name in favor of one of their choice, the Star Sapphires offer aid where they can, their power deriving from platonic, romantic, and parasocial forms of love.
RED: The Color of Rage. Be it righteous or pure, anger drives the forces of the Red Lantern to act in defense of others. Other Lanterns tend to keep their distance, however, citing things like "Excessive use of force," "lack of consideration for property damage," or "WILL YOU STOP TRYING TO HIT ME?!" Red Lanterns consider the other Lanterns to be too soft on the monsters of the galaxy, though sometimes they do start edging into that territory.
WORLD OF HEROES R - The Secret Six
Known as the Survivor’s Club, the Secret Six is a group formed by Deadshot as a team of mercenaries, sometimes vigilantes-for-hire. All of them have one thing in common - they all earned their freedom by serving on enough missions for Task Force X. Given their missions by the mysterious Mockingbird, one has to wonder who runs the show… or if Mockingbird is even a single person.
...SO, Ghosts AND Aliens are a thing.
Good to know.
