His arrival in the grand TV lounge was met with loud cheers and soon he was standing next to Erchirion and Amrothos who were handing out drinks to everyone.

“I know you guys gotta keep busy,” Éomer began and the two brothers rolled their eyes and groaned, “after the ass whooping we gave you last week – “

“Alright, alright,” Erchirion was not having it. He pressed a chilled bottle of Gandalf the White IPA in his friend’s hands before jostling his shoulder, “save the shit-talking for someone who cares enough, bro.”

With a grin he raised his bottle in acquiescence and took a few sips before sighing. “Nice one. The spice hits right on cue—never rushed, never late.”

“Seems like you got good taste when it comes to beer, shame I can’t say the same about your choice in hockey teams.”

Hearing the snark, Éomer turned to see Lothíriel standing next to him, holding a bottle of the same beer. She shot him a small smile before she tilted her head back and finished off her drink. She pressed the empty bottle in Erchirion’s hand who shook his head in mild exasperation, but Amrothos grinned at her. [...]

He was approached by New World Pictures to write a sequel to “Flowers In The Attic” (1987), based on “Petals On The Wind”, despite the fact that Corrine was killed off at the end of the 1987 film. At the time that the Lifetime movies were in production, Kristy Swanson confirmed that she and Louise Fletcher received copies of the script a few years after the release of the original movie. In a 2014 interview, Swanson stated, "I was sent a script of Petals on the Wind and it never took off ... I remember running into Louise Fletcher in Santa Barbara about four years ago. She asked me if I had gotten the Petals on the Wind script, which I had, and she wanted to know if I had read it. I told her I had and that they had called me about it. I was interested but then I didn't hear from them anymore. And apparently, the same thing happened with her. It's like they wanted to do it but they couldn't get it off the ground ... When I read the script, I wasn't too thrilled with it. I know Cathy goes through a lot in the next book, and the script was a real "sexfest." She gets pregnant and has so many affairs. There's her brother, Christopher, and then she has an affair with Julian, the dancer, and there's Paul, the doctor. I was actually kind of wondering if I should even do a sequel, you know? I just didn't know if it should be done."

I haven't been able to find an actual copy of the script, but allegedly it involves the grandmother re-marrying a much younger man, and Cathy seducing him, so as I've suspected, the movie sequel would have had Cathy seeking revenge against Olivia. The voice-over in the theatrical ending of the movie by the adult Cathy (performed by Clare C. Peck) states, "I sometimes wonder if  Grandmother is still alive. Still presiding over Foxworth Hall, still awaiting my return," which maybe does imply that they were setting up a sequel without Corrine. How well it would have worked, who knows, but the premise does sound interesting. Paul would have been included, unlike in the Lifetime version. It's sad that Louise Fletcher is no longer with us because I would have loved to have heard her thoughts on this, as well as her experience in making the 1987 movie.
