It's the GHL final, and the Ithilien Rangers and Riders of Rohan are facing off. Everyone has gathered at Faramir's to watch the game. Éomer and Lothíriel have only eyes for each other, and he calls for another bet, realising too late that Lothíriel is very good at playing the system.

His arrival in the grand TV lounge was met with loud cheers and soon he was standing next to Erchirion and Amrothos who were handing out drinks to everyone.

“I know you guys gotta keep busy,” Éomer began and the two brothers rolled their eyes and groaned, “after the ass whooping we gave you last week – “

“Alright, alright,” Erchirion was not having it. He pressed a chilled bottle of Gandalf the White IPA in his friend’s hands before jostling his shoulder, “save the shit-talking for someone who cares enough, bro.”

With a grin he raised his bottle in acquiescence and took a few sips before sighing. “Nice one. The spice hits right on cue—never rushed, never late.”

“Seems like you got good taste when it comes to beer, shame I can’t say the same about your choice in hockey teams.”

Hearing the snark, Éomer turned to see Lothíriel standing next to him, holding a bottle of the same beer. She shot him a small smile before she tilted her head back and finished off her drink. She pressed the empty bottle in Erchirion’s hand who shook his head in mild exasperation, but Amrothos grinned at her. [...]
