Some Thoughts Part 21. 11-11-18

Where do I even start with this post? Thank you to my 105 followers...I must be doing something right for you to still want to follow me.

I know I always title this some thoughts..but I’ll give it a side title called:

Goodbye to My Big Dream

1. Here’s to the dream of breaking the cycle and learning what it feels like to carry another heart within you.

2. Here’s to the dream of having something be half of you.

3. Goodbye to the clever names.

4. Goodbye to the dream that I’ve held a special place in my heart that I’ve never knew I wanted.

5. Goodbye to the dream that I’ve been told makes life a little more gifting.

6. To my new dream, here’s to all the possibilities.

7. To my new dream, please be understanding.

8. To my new dream, I hope it will be fulfilling not for myself, but for whoever is going to be there.

9. To my new dream, I’m a little nervous not knowing the end results.

10. To my new dream, here’s to hoping in some way a miracle does happen even if it’s not the same plan I had in mind.

This time: The Glom is holding Void Gear in front of Aqua. It goes swell. Meanwhile Riku and Axel continue to eat popcorn since Lingering Will obliterated Xehanort.

Recap: During KH DDD, Axel showed up a bit late and Xehanort managed to put his heart into Sora's. However, instead of him taking control of the body however, the other residents of Sora's heart objected and decided they had more right to it than he did. Madness happened, and currently Ven, Vanitas, Roxas, Xion, and Data Ansem are taking over the universe through selling ice-cream while they search for Aqua and Terra with Xehanort despairing in the background. Kairi has recently joined their quest so that she can wake Sora up. Meanwhile, Mickey, Axel, Riku, old Xehanort and Xigbar are looking for them in the Keyblade Graveyard. The Lingering Will is now catching up with Xehanort and Ven is seeing his home for the first time in years.

Plans Never Work update

It’s coming soon! I’ve been working on the next chapter and it’s coming along. I’m thinking that I need to start winding things up tbh. I don’t know how many more chapters there will be, but I think it’s on the final stretch if that makes sense. I’ve been writing this WIP off and on for years now, and I initially meant to only answer the question of what would happen if Xehanort had possessed Sora in DDD. I’ve um, since deviated from that goal by quite a lot and it’s pretty much just been a way for me to pick apart Kingdom Hearts as a whole XD

Anyways, a sneak peak for Chapter 14: In Which No One Plays A Card Game (Yet)

So what happens when a possessed suit of armor trains for over a decade to take down one man? And the Lingering Will just so happens to run into him? With a keyblade?

Now if you answered sweet, sweet revenge, you would be correct.

The Lingering Will managed a particularly painful looking hit on Xehanort with a shot of an ultima cannon. The old man hit back with a darkness heavy shot-lock that just grazed the armor. It would have been wise to run away, far away from the moving chasms and deadly magics.

A popping sounded. Xehanort tilted his head to face the new threat. His already goblin sized eyes bulged. It hadn’t been his armored foe. He tried to turn away from it, but was too late. The Lingering Will slammed into him from the side.

“My spleen!” The old man squeaked. He then covered himself in darkness and tried to strike The Lingering Will’s back.

The popping sound grew more intense. The smell floated through the air, masking the dirt and old iron that had stained the battlefield for centuries. Who knew a flaming chakrum made such a nice grill? Riku ducked as a small ember of darkness flew towards his head and Mickey had to jump out of the way of a wayward keyblade. Axel calmly repositioned his chakrum away from an oncoming dust cloud.

“I think it’s about done.” Riku smelled the vaguest hint of burning. Axel nodded and the flames disappeared. The popping slowed and ended with an almost sad crackle. Axel produced a convenient red and white stripes bag from his coat. Riku snickered, not believing how prepared the man was. How often had Axel done this? The former nobody quickly transferred their snack and placed the pan in his coat pocket. His chakrum disappeared with a snap of his fingers.

Axel grinned and offered Riku the bag of popcorn. He snatched a handful and crunched down on them in time for Xehanort to create yet another mountain. Lifeless keyblades strewn across the battlefield became very real tripping hazards.

Mickey had yet to say a word as he stared at the armor. Riku was beginning to become worried about him. The King seemed to know who the mystery keyblade wielder was. So did Xehabraigbar given his immediate flight to the other side of the world. This guy was scary.

“Ya know, I like this guy a lot better when he’s not chasing us.” Axel chuckled. He cheered when Xehanort ate dirt yet again.

“Terra.” Mickey finally said. Riku almost made a pun due to all the upset earth around them but held off. From the King’s tone this was important. “That’s his name.”

“Isn’t that one of those people that not-Roxas kid was looking for?” Axel drawled. “Whoever he is, he’s got moves.”

“One of your friends?” Riku’s voice dipped sympathetically. Mickey looked up at him.

“Well gosh, I’d like to think so. He’s Aqua and Ven’s best friend after all.” Mickey suddenly looked down, “but I haven’t exactly had a conversation with the guy.”

Riku blinked. Then he crossed his fingers and hoped that after this Terra guy stopped beating Xehanort into old man paste he wouldn’t go back to chasing them. To distract himself, he elbowed Axel and snatched another handful of popcorn. This time he offered it to Mickey. The king smiled slowly and nibbled each kernel at a time.

“Can we use him as bait for Rox- for Sora then? Since that one kid was looking for him?”

“Um.” Riku raised a silver eyebrow as this Terra slammed Xehanort into the air. The old man was flying. Gravity had ceased to exist as the keyblade wield continued to smack the other higher and higher. “If we had a- ow, that looked brutal- if we had a way to reach him, maybe.” Riku whistled, “I didn’t know someone could survive that.”

“If we could reach him, we wouldn’t be staking this rock out on the old geezers hunch.” Axel whooped as Terra demonstrated yet another keyblade transformation to a devastating effect.

Riku thought about it, snatching more popcorn. He wished there was more butter on it. It just wasn’t unhealthy enough for his taste. He required all of the calories. “Hey, Mickey,” he said, his mouth full of corn but his brain full of an epiphany. “Can’t you use telepathy?”

“What?” Axel turned his head. Riku repeated himself after he swallowed his popcorn. “No, you’re just mentioning this now?” He stared at the mouse.

“It’s not really telepathy…” Mickey’s face creased in thoughtful folds.

“You appeared to me in Castle Oblivion. I’m not sure what that was, but do you think it could reach Ven?”

Mickey took his time to eat another piece of popcorn. Then he shrugged. Then everyone had to jump out of the way because they were still on a murder ground.

“I can sure try.” Mickey nodded. “Yep, I’m sure our bond is strong enough.” He excitedly shot Riku a thumbs up. “It may take time but you can count on me.”

“Mmm.” Riku couldn’t help but catch some of the king’s optimism. “I’m looking forward to it.”

Crunch. “You know, one good thing about this Terra guy?” Axel gargled through a mouthful of popcorn. “I don’t think we’re gonna need seven keyblades of light to take down ol’ Baldy there.” His smirk was savage as Xehanort was dunked on once more.

“There’s a reason his plan had almost twice as many of him than us.”

Set during KH DDD. What if Axel hadn't saved Sora at the last minute? Xehanort's plan seems to have succeeded until, well, it doesn't. "This was something he hadn't expected. He was on a beach, one of the Destiny Islands, and he wasn't alone. Some of these people he recognized, but others, not so much. Why was he here? Why were they here? Shouldn't he be in control of Sora by now?"

I’VE FINALLY FINISHED CHAPTER 13 OF PLANS

IT’S BEEN TWO FREAKING YEARS

I’M SO HAPPY IT’S FINALLY DONE

Soooo I’m finally getting around to writing the next chapter of Plans Never Work... I mean technically, there were smatterings before but that’s all scrapped. I’m just gonna write a thing and post it. Apparently tomorrow it will have been exactly two years without updating it :/

I think it’s been established I’m a mess at this point. Anyways! I have over 1000 words down so far and here’s a sneak peek (to those unfamiliar Plans is my Kingdom Hearts fic that explored the question of what if Xehanort had possessed Sora in DDD... with much crack. Currently, Xehanort, Ven, Vanitas, Roxas, Xion, and Data Ansem are all running around in Sora’s body taking over the worlds by selling sea salt ice-cream while looking for Ven’s friends and body. Kairi joined them and is determined to save Sora. Everyone else is at the Keyblade Graveyard not getting along and looking for Not-Currently Sora. It’s... it’s a thing.)-

“Did you find them?”

Kairi shook her head. She tried to ignore the feeling she’d just stomped on his face after melting down his keyblade. “Sorry, Ven. I just found a tax collector.” “Tax collector?” Vanitas broke in. He was either amused or trying to be scary. It was probably both. He snapped his fingers and a wave of Unversed snatched up every scrap of paperwork before they vanished. His feral grin didn’t ruffle the moogle. “Idiot, we’re not falling for that. We talked to the queen and she let us go free.”

“Actually we had to teach her some magic.” Ven cut in. Vanitas took back control immediately. He looked irritated.

“Shut up, Ven.” He turned back to the moogle. “Now get out and don’t come back.”

“If you do not deliver your taxes to a moogle representative then my organization will be forced to take you up in court.”

“We bought Deep Space.” Vanitas said unconcerned. “Just who’s gonna prosecute us, furball?”
