Exchanging Tidbits

These two squirrels were huddled together waiting out the rain prior to this. One started to work on the tree bark behind them once the rain had stopped. It had then appeared to be passing presumably phloem bits to its lethargic looking buddy.
When I Survey

In the botanic gardens here, there are plenty to eat in the trees so these squirrels would mostly forage above ground.
Pardon the busy backdrop in this one. The squirrel was closer to the background than to me and a slow lens was then on the camera.

Beautiful Squirrel
This Plantain Squirrel, also known as the Red-bellied Squirrel (Callosciurus notatus), was watching another foraging among jungle litter for a while before jumping in, snatched up something and ran up a nearby tree. Its scientific name is said to mean "beautiful squirrel".
Long Tail Business

A Plantain Squirrel, also known as the Red-bellied Squirrel (Callosciurus notatus), pausing to give its tail some attention while foraging along Berlayer Creek.
This Plantain Squirrel was nervous when I started pointing my camera at him, but decided the safest thing to do was eat his snack halfway down the tree, as fast as he could.
