We have a high schooler watering our 8 plants while we're in Brazil, and she came today for orientation (pass her the keys, show her the plants, pass her a list of how to care for each plant, etc).
When we contacted her about her plantsitting buisiness we were her first customers, so she wasn't sure how much to charge. I did some research and passed her a couple sites suggesting prices based on how many plants and how complex their needs are (ours are all easy to care for, because we suck at keeping complex plants alive, lol).
We settled on $40 per visit (she'll come once a week when we're gone) plus $40 for orientation.
Remember folks, just because you're employing a young person doesn't mean you should cheat them out of a fair wage.
