Spray Tanning Tips Be Prepared

Here are some Spray Tanning Tips

I’ve put together the ideal spray tanning tips to boost the success of your appointments,  to make certain your skin is ready to take color, remain protected throughout your spray, and preserve and enhance your coloring after spray tanning.

Prepare for your Spray Tan

Make sure you don’t shave at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

To get the most even tan, you want to remove all dead skin cells. So when you shower, make sure to exfoliate with a body scrub, not bar soap.

While exfoliating, make sure you concentrate on your elbows, knees & ankles.

If your skin gets dry, apply a light lotion. Make sure it’s applied at least 2 hours before your spray tan.

To avoid color buildup on your nails and cuticles, put some petroleum jelly on them.

Keep the palms of your hands moisturized to achieve the most natural tan.

Remove any makeup. I do have makeup wipes if needed at the time of your spray tan appointment.

Don’t wear any perfumes or deodorant, it will cause blotching and fading.

During your Spray Tan

Use a lip balm and remember to keep your mouth closed.

Avoid inhaling the spray tan, I have nose plugs if you want them.

I have eye protection if desired.

You’re welcome to wear what you’d like while being sprayed, whatever your comfort level is, but you should wear some kind of underwear to protect sensitive areas.

After your Spray Tan

For the most Vibrant Results:

Wear loose clothing, preferably a dark color, and avoid any under-wire bras.

Bring along a pair of flip flops or other open shoe.

Don’t exercise and try not to perspire until after your first shower.

Your first shower should be at least 4-6 hours after your spray tan. Apply your shower gel with your hands.

Hydrate, hydrate & hydrate, 2 to 3 times a day! The best way to maintain the longevity of your spray tan is to keep your skin hydrated.

A New Beginning at Couture Salon

Couture Salon has Upgraded

In the efforts to always keep things modern and updated, we’ve stream lined the salon. It’s not overly noticeable, but there’s change.

We now have a cozy seated dryer room with a fireplace, and we’ve moved our nail station up to the front. While you’re processing, you can sit in front of our mantle and read a book, catch up on some emails or play your favorite game on your phone or tablet. We will also provide you with free wi-fi access.

Look forward to some themed nights and themed specials, they’re in the works……
