BAD SITUATIONS STARTERS
I SPOT THE CAR FROM A WAYS OFF: HOOD UP, HAZARDS BLINKING, A YOUNG MAN BENT OVER THE ENGINE.
I consider, at first, just to keep going. Get home after such a long day and hope he can get it fixed on his own. But in the end, I still slow down, a lifetime of helping people in need outweighing my desire to just get home to my ferns and a much, much-needed bath.
I ease my bike to a stop in front of the car, angling it so as not to block traffic, and kill the engine, staying on it just in case things go sideways (you never know with strangers). The guy looks up when he hears me park, hands dirty from trying to troubleshoot whatever's wrong with his car, and I flip up the visor on my helmet so he can at least see my face.
"Do you need any help?"
@plasmaborn: Send 🚗 for our muses to get stuck on the side of the road together when the car breaks down.
