HELLO we might be the same person okay I'm gonna be an elementary school teacher BUT THIS STUFF GETS ME SO HEATED (I'm Texan btw haaa so this stuff is real to me on another level). Things like whats happening right now make me want to do so much more. In reality I know thats not gonna happen, but I'm the same way as you in that I can fucking assure you that every girl that comes into my classroom will know how much power she can hold in this world if she goes into it with the correct attitude.

this is so much to deal with being in a far off blue state, I can’t imagine what it’s like for people directly affected in Texas. but I’m completely with you in wanting to do something with this and I think teaching is a great way to do it. There are so many ways teachers can accidentally bring down female students without any idea they’re doing it, just because so many standard expectations favor the boys, and I want to do everything I can to avoid that. I want to give as many positive female role models as I can, and yes, do exactly what you said
