与聚氯乙烯、氯乙烯－醋酸乙烯共聚物，聚苯乙烯、聚醋酸乙烯酯、醋酸丁酸纤维素、硝酸纤维素、乙基纤维素等有良好的相容性。其黏度低，沸点高，增塑效率高，水抽出性小，挥发性和迁移性小，而且具有优良的耐热性、耐光性、电绝缘性和对增塑糊的黏度稳定性，耐寒性比己二酸二辛酯（DOA）好。本品还可单独或与其他增塑剂配合用作丁腈橡胶、丁苯橡胶、氯丁橡胶等合成橡胶的增塑剂。适用于人造革、薄膜、薄板、电线和电缆护套、增塑糊等，可赋予制品良好的低温性能。本品为优良的耐寒增塑剂。
