Dinovember day 10: Yunnanosaurus
Just strolling though the dawn light
Triassic Meganium, Jurassic Typhlosion, and Cretaceous Feraligatr
These Mesozoic Johto Starters are three prime examples of the way extant pokemon can have drastic variations across time. Pokemon researchers debate endlessly what constitutes a seperate pokemon, as opposed to a form difference or regional variant. Why is Alolan Persian considered a variant of Persian, but Perrserker is considered wholly seperate?
In this case, the T Meganium, J Typhlosion, and K Feraligatr have been designated variants of the modern pokemon, but new experts are weighing in all the time.
