This is a classic Texaco service station from the fifties. The value of it has been a source of controversy. Some idiots see it as a blight and would like to see it replaced by luxury apartments. The owners have decided not to seek conservation status and instead are moving it to the LA river where it will be restored as a coffee shop. The luxury apartments will go up in it’s place with six affordable units. It’s a compromise. I’m glad it will live on although diminished as if we need another coffee shop.
