i stood on platform 1

you stood on platform 2

between us is a distance

there are tracks that separate us

made with metal and steel

there is electricity between us

not on the tracks

but the way you looked up 

that fraction of a minute

our eyes met

the way my lips curved up to a smile

then you suddenly looked down on the ground

i saw you smiling too

we all start as strangers anyway

but i suddenly thought

would you mind being my friend?

i could imagine us already

and maybe we'd start from there

i reserved my smile for you

but you never looked up again

the train is now approaching
