Platform Brewing Company’s Symon Says Haze on tap at Bar Symon at PHL. A 3 of 4. A nice hazy IPA with a ton of fruity and tropical sweetness in the nose. Much the same in the body with a lighter, dominant pineapple quality. Creamy, hazy body, as expected, and has a nice bitterness in the finish to cut through the fruity sweetness up front.
Ugli IPA from Platform Brewing. An East Coast IPA’ with ugli fruit rind in collaboration with Heinen’s grocery stores. Hoppy nose, gentle mouthfeel, juicy flavors from the yeast interaction or ugli rind, big Hop notes, sweet malts up front, muting the grapefruit hop notes. medium dry/citrus fruit and bitter finish lingers. 7.0/10
