One of the things one can’t really be prepared for when it comes to time travelling, especially when they have no real control over said leaps through space and time, is bad weather. It’s impossible to know if the place one is going to will be similar to home or not. In Robert’s case, this wasn’t much different to Ogre Street’s reality, a place where colder seasons were always harsh and deadly, especially for the weakest, for the homeless, like he had once been himself when he was much younger.
Cold weather like that in this time and place would normally not represent much of an issue to a human heater man like him, however, this time he had been wearing one of his lighter coats when he’d gotten thrown into this timeline (was it Winter here?). Perhaps finding some temporary shelter would be the best idea. Maybe a cafe where he could do some ‘inoffensive’ dine and dash? A warm place and a warm drink for free. That sounded appealing to the blond. The issue now was finding one to try and pull his little trick on. He continued walking around, bracing himself a little the moment he felt himself starting to shiver. God, this brought some sour memories from his early years...
But before his mind could wander further into those darkened territories, he felt a new weight on him. Literally. A bit startled, Robert looked down at his shoulders where that new weight seemed to be on, immediately noticing the large and fluffy (and warm, too) blanket, feeling an enormous hand patting him on the head. He didn’t even have to wonder too much or too long what was going on as he turned around and spotted a smiling face he had seen before.
“It’s you...” He spoke, a bit through chattering teeth still. His hands unconsciously reached for the blanket, holding it in place so it wouldn’t slip down from his shoulders.
“Star Platinum, correct?” This time, unlike their first encounter, the thug seemed a lot more at ease around the other. By this point, it was more than clear that the other was not an enemy at all. And so he offered a broad smile. It was genuine as he added.
“Thank you so much! I guess it was quite easy t’ tell I was freezin’ just now, huh?” His tone a lighthearted, trying to poke a little fun at his own predicament, but thankful for Star’s help.
