Nari is baby and I would die for them!!! Here's some Nari NewYork sheingians
Nari has never been so close to the human world. They have observed humans from afar and tried to understand them but you are a complicated race with thoughts and emotions Nari doesn't always understand. Your world and the way it works is just so different from Nari's.
When Nari decides to leave the Order and begins to travel with Archie, Douxie, and you they are excited to see humans up close and understand more about them and their different cultures. Even though New York is mostly concrete and unlike anything their used to Nari has fun on this adventure.
They carry around their plant to still feel a connection to nature. Though they're amazed at how much nature is in NewYork. Garden boxes litter windows, trees grow in some side walks, plants hang from lamp posts or grow in buildings, grass and flowers are in every crack of concrete if you look closely. There's also community gardens and markets which fascinate Nari. The city is bustling with greenery and life if you just look for it.
However Nari'a favorite thing in NewYork of course is Central Park. It's fascinating to them that in the middle of a manmade concrete jungle is a man made forest. They enjoy all the activities in the park and love going on swan boat rides or playing games in the grass. Lots of lunches and picnics are held in Central Park because Nari enjoys it so much. They enjoy getting hotdogs or other food from vendors and seeing how people interact with the park. People watching becomes one of Nari's favorite activities.
If your not having a picnic, playing games, or people watching at Central Park Nari likes to sit on a bench humming. They throw out food and watch the ducks and birds that come up to them. Archie isn't a fan but he hides in Douxies jacket so it's fine. Nari peels grapes and throws grains they grow to feed the birds as bread isn't good for them. You and Douxie will watch Nari as Nari tells you all about the different birds and animals as they come up to eat. You meet some nice old ladies and young kids on these days as all the birds and various critters can sometimes draw a crowd.
Nari is absolutely enamoured with the street performers and street artists in New Yorks Time Square. Nari hears Douxie play something every night and hears you sing in the shower occasionally but there's so many types of performances and so many different humans it amazes Nari every time you go through there. They beg to give money to everyone because their just so passionate about their art and deserve something. You and Doux loose way to many loose dollar bills but Nari's smile as they clap and dance cheering on the performer is worth it. Not to mention you and Douxie understand the struggle of making it as an artist. (Nari also leaves every performer a boquet with the money. Nari learned humans like roses after a performance and has given flowers to people they like ever since)
While walking past an icecrean parlor Nari looks confused. They point and ask what it is as they don't understand the picture displayed in the window. You and Douxie are shocked that Nari has never had ice cream. You both decide to fix this problem. Immediately!!!
Nari as a demigod can eat as much as they please. They end up with a huge Sunday to themselves while you and Douxie get a single scoop cone with Archie eating vanilla bean out of a cup. Nari falls in love with the flavors and sweetness of ice cream. Her favorite being mint chocolate chip because it reminds them of the forest and bubblegum blue because it reminds them of Douxie. They end up liking your favorite kind as well and it becomes a ritual to get ice cream from an ice cream parlor at least once a week (if not more).
Sight seeing in NewYork is crazy. When you take Nari to the Statue of Liberty they love it! They find the green lady fun and love hearing all about her history and why she's so important to NewYork and the United States. You turn away to take a picture and have to stop Nari from giving the statue a giant flower crown so that was interesting.
You and Douxie just had to see a show on Broadway while in New York and Nari was entralled. Douxie had showed Nari many types of music and she'd seen the performers in the streets but nothing like this!!! As Archie pokes his head our of your bag (had to sneak him in somehow) Nari gets up and begins clapping even if the show hasn't started as the sets so beautiful. You and Douxie with big grins on your faces have to shush her and tell Nari when to clap. The show was fantastic and Nari couldn't stop singing the songs for days. They also get a t-shirt and tote bag they love and refuse to go anywhere without.
Another day while getting some groceries Nari saw a few stands outside and pulled on you asking about it. You finish your purchase with Doxuie and walk out to see a Saturday market set up. Nari asks to wander around and you follow her explaining what different types of jewelry, clothes, furniture, food, and candy were. Nari gets a shiny sounvineer they love and you and Douxie walk home with some handmade licorice. Naris not a huge fan but they like how it turns their tongue black.
You explore a lot of new places and take Nari to see everything. The MET (Metroplian Museum of Art) was crazy. Nari wanted to see everything and wandered away from the tour whenever a painting or sculpture caught her eye made it way more intresting. She almost touched a painting but thankfully you stopped her. By the time you had seen the entire museum and gone to the gift shop Nari got a million Nick nacks that they know carry in a backpack with all the other stuff they love.
Douxies choice to visit was Radio Citys Music Hall. He loved exploring the theater and mumbled something about performing there a long time ago and how he'd do it again someday. When you grabbed his hand promising he would he chuckled adjusting his guitar strap. He could feel all the greats and although Nari didn't get it she was happy to see him happy.
Archie choses to go to a large historic library he hadn't visited in years and enjoyed wandering around. He says it reminds him of the bookstore at home and although you had to stuff him into your backpack (again) to get him inside he didn't mind too much. You ended up finding a good story and copied the book to read to Nari later.
There's plenty to do in NewYork and your days are spent wandering the Big Apple and answering all of Nari's questions. All in all traveling through New York is great. You, Douxie, Archie, and Nari have an amazing time with all the vendors and sightseeing. Even if you know it can't last forever your glad to have the time together that you have now.
