...Well, you probably got the race right. Tho, I’m surprised you didn’t pick the TF-y class. That’d presumably be related to a Fleshwarper Prestige Class...
Hearthstone The Grand Tournament Will Make Huge Changes To Hero Powers | CINEMABLEND
See on Scoop.it - eSports
Hearthstone 's player classes have remained largely the same since the game first launched. However, new expansion The Grand Tournament will bring some radical changes to the unique Hero Powers that each class wields.
ALL IN Magazine's insight:
The new "Inspire" trait being added to The Grand Tournament cards is going to add a whole new level to Hearthstone. One card, Justicar Trueheart, could make that minion ability even more powerful.
UU: the +/- distinction can mean many things, bUt coUld be qUite roUghly sUmmed Up in this way: active classes exploit their aspect to benefit themselves, while passive classes allow their aspect to benefit others.

So far, there has only been little information regarding the mechanics of classes. In spite of this I have still attempted to squeeze out as much info from what Hussie has revealed so far.
As clearly stated by Calliope above, the active/passive distinction isn't really that concrete, and is mostly just a generalization with a lot of exceptions. It seems to me that classes cannot simply be either passive or active. There's a lot more we haven't seen. There can be a passive class out there that benefits itself, or an active class that bnefits others. I imagine you're pretty confused right now, so let me explain my interpretation of what active and passive mean.
An player with an active class makes things happen, and affects others with their aspect. Meanwhile, a player with a passive class is happened to, and is affected by their aspect. One example Hussie himself gave is the B1 kids. He said that the Derse dreamers (Rose and Dave) had an active role in the game, with Dave time-travelling all over the place and Rose searching for ways to “break” the game. He also said that the Prospit dreamers (John and Jade) had a passive role in the game, with John mostly being directed by the trolls and Jade mostly being asleep during the game.
With that gotten over with, let me cite the factors which, for me, define a class.
Activeness or Passiveness. Does the player make things happen, or are they happened to? Do they affect others using their aspect, or are they themselves affected by their aspect?
Area of Effect. Do the player's actions mostly affect themselves, or others?
Role in the Game. Is the player's main duty to attack, defend, or to give support?
Here are some examples of how I break down each class.
Heir
Description: Passive; protected by aspect, uses this to benefit others sometimes. Example: John was protected by The Breeze because Jack Noir was unable to track him down, and was also able to protect, by extension the Salamanders when their village was on fire.
Area of Effect: Leaning more on self, but sometimes affects others.
Role in the Game: Give support. John extracted The Tumor and initiated The Scratch, while Equius built a robotic body for Aradia.
Knight
Description: Active; protects others by using their aspect as a weapon, uses aspect to benefit self sometimes. Example: Dave protected his co-players by the use of time-travel and amassed a shitton of Grist which he wired to others. Karkat also protected the other trolls by using his aspect as a weapon against Gamzee (assuming that Blood means love or compassion).
Area of Effect: Leaning more on others.
Role in the Game: To defend by attacking.
Seer
Description: Passive; has a deep understanding of aspect and can literally visualize information regarding that aspect. Example: Rose was quite knowledgeable about what actions would benefit their session, while Terezi knew the consequences of Vriska's actions.
Area of Effect: Others.
Role in the Game: To give support. Doc Scratch himself said that Seers are mostly in the sidelines, and do not contribute directly to the fight.
I'll have to stop here. I could go on, but I don't want to bore you, and some classes have yet to be shown in detail. Happy speculating! :)
