Contract Extension!

Manchester United have announced that David De Gea has signed a new contract, keeping him with the club until 2023 with an option to extend another year. The now-28-year-old keeper joined United in 2011, making 367 so far.

Quote:

“It has been a privilege to spend eight years at this great club and the opportunity to continue my career at Manchester United is a genuine honour. Since I arrived here, I could never have imagined I would play over 350 games for this club. Now my future is fixed, all I want is to help this team achieve what I believe we can and win trophies again, together.”

Club manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is “delighted” that De Gea has committed to the club for the future, as the keeper “has really understood the values of playing for Manchester United”, and that he “represents everything you want in a goalkeeper”.

The club also posted to Twitter with a video referring to United as De Gea’s “home”.

Pereira Signs Contract Extension

Andreas Pereira has signed a contract extension with Manchester United which will keep him at the club until June 2019 with an option to extend for a further year. 

Pereira is currently on loan to Spanish side Valencia CF for the 2017/2018 season. Pereira, who has been with the club since he was 16 years old, was on loan last season to the Spanish side Grananda where he made 35 appearances and scored 5 goals. 

Andreas Pereira said: "I am delighted that I have extended my contract with this great club. The manager is building a great team here and I want to be part of that as soon as possible. I am going to continue my development at Valencia this season in the hope that I will get plenty of minutes on the pitch. I would like to thank the manager for his help and guidance and for the faith he has shown in me."
