Has the winter transfer window officially closed for Liga F? I suppose no news is good news when it comes to Ingrid’s situation?
no, no, remember that tomorrow is the deadline, so we still have 24 more hours of this! 🙃 (liga f and france close tomorrow night)
the window is now closed for england and the wsl!
i just went and looked and what in the world? 😵💫 what is even happening with that club and kelly? i mean i know that gareth taylor has driven players away but this is ridiculous!
Sorry but huh? Engen to Lyon now feels surreal because of Tarciane's signing and Keira's departure without a warning
(On the other hand Bayern's Zadrazil has a hamstring injury and with Oberdorf out...)
Also Keira? Holy fuck how much can change in a few months... Catalan interview and all huh?
Honestly what bothers me the most isn't the departure it's the timing.
That team is in a league of their own literally!
what an eventful 24 hours of news! 🤯 pero teniu tota la raó! it's not keira's departure but the timing that feels so crazy! no sé què pensar. una mica decepcionada que va a un rival directe...molt heavy la veritat 🤷♀️ at the end of the day, i have to believe there is a plan in place. it's too irresponsible for the club not to have one.
this is the best we got from keira 😅
anyway, que acabi ja això! i'm ready for transfer season to end 😂 sempre hi ha motius per creure en aquest equip 🙏
no, i think we have always had a mix of la masia/reserve team players even when the team as a whole wasn't in financial difficulties. remember that mapi was the first transfer in spanish women's football when we brought her in from atletí for €50,000 back in 2017. and we bought keira from manchester city in 2022 for a world-record fee around £350,000. so it's not like we are afraid of spending on big players.
but where barça had success was not simply relying on foreign players but in elevating players from the b team to the first team as well. and some of our best all time players are homegrown talent. again, it's about balance. and that's what has led to success for barça.
yeah, it's an interesting situation because there are no max caps for these teams (outside of nwsl, afaik), and i can't imagine all of a sudden we start imposing our own financial fair play style rules in the future. at some point the market has to correct itself if it becomes only a handful of teams that are able to spend at that level. only time will tell...

i know for barça we only listen to maria tikas, but what about this for walsh? does it sound legit? i'd be interested in hearing what you think about it :)
it has become a race against time for the keira walsh sweepstakes. (the worst part of all of this is the revitalisation of the wonze fandom 😭) i think everyone is of the opinion that it could happen, but it's a question of time now...
also, i can't really comment on the credibility of this journalist but i don't think he is saying anything controversial or completely crazy in this thread, no? we knew that keira almost left during the summer and is ready to go home to england. that's not a secret nor a surprise. the question is when, not if. and we also know that barça would not accept a lowball offer for her either.
so to me, this is the exact same situation we are in like we were this summer. it's just another team in the mix (chelsea). personally, i would not let keira go to a rival team this winter, but i guess if the price is right, all bets are off!
so that's another reason to lock down ingrid. she is another player who can fill in the dm role if need be. but longer term, i see sydney schertenleib being the successor to fill patri's role. she has the height and her technical ability is improving. 🙏
transfer season was a bit boring this year, but it's always wild towards the end to see what crazy deals can make it over the finish line! 😵
Do you know when the current transfer window is closing?
hi anon - each league has different winter transfer window closing dates. soccerdonna has a nice chart of the transfer window for various ones:
hi anon - the three major stats aggregators i use are:
fotmob
sofascore
fbref
they are pretty good about updating in real time!
