my two red flags as a dnd player:
I split the party all the fucking time. Half the time it’s warranted bc the other party members will do shit like dive headfirst into portals without knowing where they go first, but sometimes I just figure that the party can absolutely get more done if we multitask. Like today while playing one guy didn’t wanna give us useful info while his husband was in the room so I led that guy out of the room so the rest of the party could get information. Another time we needed to convince an NPC not to give someone else useful info so I did the same thing, took her out of the room to convince her not to blab
I randomly ask the DM for names of the most insignificant NPC’s, sometimes putting them on the spot 😅 once it was so I could name my newfound horse after the guy I just defeated in a jousting match, another more egregious example was when I needed to distract some guards I was the boss of so I gathered the names of all the hostages on a ship and told the guards to go write letters to each hostage’s family
anyway out of curiosity what are y’all’s dnd red flags? I feel like every player probably has one or two small things that drive their DM up the wall
