Still thinking about Xehanort’s reaction (or lack thereof) to Player dying. Obviously the scene cuts pretty much immediately but. The person who raised him from birth and assumably the only source of human interaction he’s had for like fourteen years dies. And he just kind of walks off. IIRC never once brings them up or is shown to think about them after he leaves the islands.

Obviously DR was the victim of development hell but I wish it could’ve explored that relationship more. I want to know more about their dynamic so bad. I wonder if he resents them for keeping him from the outside world for so long.

This is part of a very rough wip that I was working on a few months ago that I don't think I'm really going to finish ever-but I still like a lot of what's here and so in the drought we're in I thought it might be nice to share it anyway :]

This Au Vanitus is an accidental fusion between the KHUX Darkness that was possessing Ventus as well as Ven’s own personal darkness. This accidental fusion came about when Xehanort tore out the darkness from Ventus during BBS. As a result, this Vanitus inherited some of the memories of KHUX Darkness and also some of Ven’s khux memories, making him similar to Persona, in that they both carry memories of a lifetime (or lifetimes )that haunts them XD Which is partially why they get along so well lol.

But also in this Au, Xehanort has green eyes. Not yellow, this is because he’s not darkness obsessed but balance obsessed (which rlly caused more Angst for Riku in his own personal journey to obtaining Way to Dawn but that’s a story for another time) cuz dying to the Pure Darkness in his previous life (Persona)has left a pretty bad taste in his mouth but he’s too stubborn to overlook the potential darkness has so balance it is!😂

Player x remus is growing on me. What if remus had a crush on the random new kid that dropped by on the beach one day that's from 1000 years ago. It's like how ephemer was definitely crushing on player. And (in my interpretation. Most of this i just made up) remus is somewhat descended from ephemer (not by blood. call it a legacy. Technically belongs to romulus first then remus second tho because romulus is like 13 minutes older) which makes it kinda fit narratively.

Although I do like one sided remus x nept as well. Like what if nept, as much of a (once again in my interpretation) manipulative control freak as he was, caught himself starting to crush on one of the people in the society he runs. So he starts mistreating remus in order to try and push that down. Freya becomes the teachers pet of sorts all of a sudden, conveniently after nept realizes he likes remus. Etc
