This feels like dans nod to Phil in a way. I know it’s more than that but like this is sort of Dan’s sacrifice. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to articulate this well so bare with me

Phil had to make sacrifices for them, and it seems like he did so without burden or resentment, yes it would have been hard but he would’ve done whatever to have dan. He supported dan through everything and gave him the space and the grace and the support he needed. He fought for them. Dan wanted to stay quiet, so they did. For so long Phil put himself back in the closet and kept quiet about their relationship. Dan felt like calling it quits would be the ultimate self preservation but Phil, like an anchor in his life, so patient and sensible held onto him, did whatever he could to make sure they didn’t lose this beautiful, rare, special, fragile thing. I’m not saying this came easily or that it wasn’t tumultuous and difficult - the intricacies aren’t for us to know. Phil wanted to tell the world.

And now dan is doing just that. He’s publicly declaring their love and their relationship as sort of an ode to Phil and everything they have been through. You can see how thankful he is that Phil stayed, and that he held on. And that’s not to say dan didn’t do any of the work, that he was flippant and detached. He was so fucking scared but he knew that it was Phil, through everything it was him. So now he gets to say this is who we are, this is what we’ve done and what we’ve sacrificed. This is the man that supported me through it all. And we’re so secure in our relationship that we’re not afraid to tell you now.

He’s shouting his love for Phil from the rooftops because he can now. They’re free.

I don’t want this to seem like I’m saying Phil was this perfect angel and that I’m criticising dan in any way. It couldn’t be further from the truth. Dan is so fucking brave. He’s so strong. The shit he’s been through and to come out as he has is just astounding to me, and it’s just so beautiful that he had Phil. No one else would have made it. They did

one particular thing about bbvenom that appeals to me is their sameness. it's not technically selfcest but i like to think about if they themselves would take it as such. i like the thought of bibo opening up / being more comfortable with v than he has with anyone ever because he believes that v is supposed to be him, just another part of him, an extension of him. it's just like talking to himself.

i also love seeing them try to become each other, especially when bibo has to seem more like v.

while i really enjoy the sort of unequal dynamic for them of original vs copy, effigy vs the shadow it casts, i still like thinking about that sense of equivalence. even if they aren't, even if that can't be true no more than 2 + 2 = 5 is, they want to believe in such an impossible equation.

maybe for bibo, it was selfish from the start to agree to turn his man into a phantom, to sacrifice hundreds of innocent lives in favour of both his selves. so he let venom be ahab, seeking his revenge, and maybe it was the medic's desire as much as it was bibo's, but it was ishmael's story in the end. maybe v accepted it in the wake of the realisation that he was once someone else because he realised he could never be that person again, and in order not to be equal to zero, he chose to believe in the value forced onto him.

neither of them had a choice in the creation, and they can no longer choose their fate either, but maybe they'd find comfort in the result. "i am you and you are me. carry that with you wherever you go."

Thinking about the implication that Liko's family is rich, not just from the appearance of her house but also that she's not just attending an international academy but said academy is implied to be the Pokémon world's equivalent of a private school, which is usually very expensive to attend and pay tuition for.

Indigo Academy is definitely a private school. Its name in Japanese is セキエイ学園, which when read aloud transliterates to "Sekiei Gakuen". The term "gakuen" carries the nuance of a private school. Everything from the way Liko enrolled into Indigo Academy to how the school is structured reads of similarities to private schools in IRL Japan, especially international boarding private schools which do have international students. She had to go through an interview process to enroll, and when she does, she's living in a dormitory during her school life, which is akin to real life gakuen academies. They also have a specialized curriculum based in battling and being a Trainer, and it's owned by the Indigo League, which ties into the idea of it being a private academy.

So yeah, Liko comes from money alright.

It's also a contrast from the school in Vermilion City that Goh and Chloe attend since that's the equivalent of real-life public schools in Japan. It's called "gakko" (学校), and the way things are there mirrors public schools as opposed to private schools. Most likely in Goh and Chloe's case they're in real life late shogakko (小学校), as fifth years (gonensei).

I would guess Vermilion City in Journeys that they have a chugakko (middle school) and kotogakko (high school) too that are nearby and students move from the shogakko seen in Journeys to the nearest associated chugakko then koko.

Rambling but yeah, modern Kanto in the anime seems to incorporate real world school systems and we see both public schools (gakko) and private schools (gakuen) and a depiction of them that mirrors IRL Japan, especially since Kanto is based in Japan's IRL Kanto region which is their modern urban region with the big cities like Tokyo being there.

Just before, we had a few characters enroll in something akin to real world public schools, then Horizons has Liko attend what is essentially a private boarding school, and she's kinda unique among Anipoke characters in that regard, especially since it points to her being pretty rich to be able to attend a private school internationally.
