• rain drops on roses and mud on soft skin • embracing the elements . going within • . 𓂁𓂁𓂁 𓂀 𓂄𓂄𓂄 . . . 💦🌹 . . . . Getting down & dirty shooting on the jungle floor with 📸@juannpacifico 🌿📷🌿 The moody vibe of this shoot and the concept of literally having layers of mud on the skin reminds me of one of my favorite analogies from an amazing book called The Enneagram - the analogy essentially says how we are all truly beings of light in our essence..but as humans in this society, over time layers of “tar” form on top of our essence, obscuring the inner light. “Some blotches of the tar are very thick; other areas are thinner and more transparent. Those who have worked on themselves for longer have less tar and they radiate more of their inner light. Because of their personal history, others are covered with more tar and need a great deal of work to get rid of it” :: . This metaphor brings me so much compassion for myself and for others. It brings me remembrance that we are all made of the purest light at our cores, and this life is a journey of getting more in tune with that light.
