Now that we've survived Valentine's Day, we can't wait to continue our Play Out With Pride community profiles! We have such a huge place in our heart for one of the founder's of @queercut , the inimitable @apredovan & think you should know her, too! She talked to us about what being part of the queer community means to her: "Even though I felt lucky growing up in Croatia with a loving family and great groups of friends, I never felt like I exactly belonged to a specific community. I always felt I was just a little off, a little on the outside. Discovering the queer community in NYC, connecting with other queer individuals, to me was life-changing, eye-opening, and ultimately heart-opening. Being surrounded by people who identify in ways I relate to allowed me to get to know myself better and become really grounded in my own identity and values. Having a queer community takes good times, and turns them into great times. When the incredible @nyxnocturne arrived with @heyvigormortis to just watch the shoot, they didn't expect to be modeling too! Not a surprise that it didn't take much convincing  to have this drag/burlesque powerhouse in Play Out underwear and in front of the camera. They make us so happy!  "Community means coming together under a shared experience, and being able to offer each other support because of that experience. It provides the relief of not having to explain and justify who you are and where you come from because others identify alongside you. Communities are a fluid and living thing; growing, changing, falling apart, and coming back together. We can't express enough what an inspiration Deborah @deborahmeyers_experience is, and how proud we are to introduce her to you. She is an important part of our Play Out community! Check out her jewelry, too. She told us, "If you're struggling with your gender and/or sexual identity: Don’t go it alone. I came out at 39 years old. I found a coming out group for women and sought help from a lesbian therapist. In other words, reach out and talk to those who can really hear your struggle and know in the deepest part of your self that you are a warrior. You are courageous. Anyone who has the ability to own their truth and live their truth no matter what are the real heroes/heroines on this planet."
