It is just grand(sarcasm intended) when you are writing and your characters begin to say things that you didn't expect them to say and do things you didn't really want them to do. And what's even better is when the message of the piece completely changes as the words appear on the screen before you(and only barely of your own accord, might I add). But despite the annoyances and set backs it is still an amazing feeling when your work takes on a life of its own.

I just finished my "final" draft of my play.

So, for those who don't know or remember, I was writing a play based on some songs by Mike Lombardo. Particularlly based off of the song "Abby Never." Well, several months later and four drafts done, I have one that I can say is nearly perfect. It is all the way finished and everything is tied together. There are some nice nerdfighter inside jokes in there too. You can find them in names and such throughout.

So what's next for my play, which is called Abby Never? When school starts back up in August/September, I'm going to get a group together to do a table reading so that I can make my final edits. And then it's off to be workshopped!

So I've just story boarded a musical adaption of the Inferno set to AFI's music

I don't know if it's genius or nuts. But it literally came to me while I was trying to fill out my FAFSA (because I'm an awesomely-bad Grad student). Adapting music starting from the Art of Drowning album and using songs from all subsequent albums I think I can piece together a rock epic. 

Am I nuts? Because, I kind of feel nuts.

Also - I think music from the Dresden Dolls could be woven into an awesome punk-cabaret musical extravaganza, but maybe that's just because i look for stories in everything.
