“You two are nutters, you know that right?” Is Frank’s reaction after Jamie told him about the plans to marry. They have gathered with their best mates to make introductions and tell them their plan. Mary sits still and stares with her big brown doe eyes at Claire, then Jamie and, finally at Frank. She completely agrees with him.

“It seems that way, we know.”

“Seems because it is. It has only been four bloody days since you meet!” he throws his hands up and starts pacing. “Help me out here Mary, please.”

She loves Claire like a sister and agrees with Frank that they are rushing it. But, she also sees the happiness in her mate’s face, a glow that wasn’t there before. “It is fast. I know you love him Claire. I can see it on your face. But, does it have to be marriage right now? You can’t just date?”

“It can’t Mary. I know how it looks. Like we are completely insane. Maybe this type of love makes you this way. All I know is, I want to spend every other second of my life with him. Being his and him being mine, in every way. I can’t explain it better.”

“Romantic dribble. Love doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Jamie you would piss away the rest of your life in a marriage at bloody 18!” Frank just doesn’t get it. Yes, he wants his mate happy but he fears it is just Infatuation that will fade, leaving them in a marriage, neither desire anymore.

“Frank, I don’t consider it ‘pissing away’ anything. I know, deep down, that she is the only lass I will see, the only one I will want, for the rest of my life. So marrying her is logical to me, to us. We appreciate both of you guys concern for us, but I promise it will be okay.” He looks to his lass, sitting firmly on his lap. They small hugely at each other. “More then okay. Brilliant.”

“Complete nutters.” But Frank says it with a smile.
