SHE HATES THIS, hell half the time she isn't sure why she thinks the doctor is so brilliant when he comes up with plans like this. if she didn't trust him so much, she might think he's got some kinda alien mind control that makes her go along with it.

just being around @plcthoraa makes her want to crawl out of her own skin. it's like that uneasy feeling people get when they look at some computer generated image of a person: all the details are there but something is just . . . off. like they're human but slightly to the left. not quite real.

The warmth of the hearth and the soft crackling of the kindling amber has him at ease, relaxed and calm under the shared blanket over them both. His head leans against verso’s chest, listening to the soft thrum of a heartbeat that matches his own. Legs rest across verso’s lap, a comfortability only ever reserved for the dark-haired man.

“As much as I like the snow…this is much nicer.”

Considering Jules’s rather certain his own butt is still bruised from his stumbling fall outside mere moments prior.

She's forcing her back against the wall, hand rising to grip at dark tresses of her own hair, like it could serve as some sort of anchor for her. Thoughts try to go a mile a minute for a conclusion, discovery of what's occurring - but the most she can get is broken thoughts. A fog in her mind, a shakyness to her that has her nearly sliding off the wall -

Free hand moves to grip her chest, attempting to force a proper, calmer breath - only to have it shaky and short.

he contemplates the board, bored as marvin takes his sweet time considering his next move. it’s not that he hates chess— but there were so many other games they could be playing instead. or, screw games, more fun things they could be doing instead. chin propped up by his hand, whizzer lifts an eyebrow at his partner.

“y’know,” he drawls, sarcasm heavy on his tongue, “i’ve heard good things about checkers. why don’t we give that a shot for once?”

Though there's that light teasing tone in her words, her head tilts downward to muffle that light laughter just as much as to try and hide that light tint of pink rising to her features. Her hands rest clasped into his own, smaller than his yet just as steady.

"You're hands are just - softer than I expected."
