The state of Queensland is currently in despair, with 75% of the state affected by flooding (Queensland is twice the size of Texas, to put that into perspective). This could very well be the most serious natural disaster Queensland has ever faced. The death toll is currently at 12, with 51 people missing. Although the death toll is not all that high compared to other natural disasters (which makes it no less tragic, of course), there will be thousands of people rendered homeless when the flooding finally subsides. All day I've been hearing stories of bravery and tragic loss. Feeling stressed because my grandparents live in Queensland (but they have assured us they're perfectly safe, Thank God). It's heartbreaking, and so easy to feel completely helpless in the face of a tragedy so huge and uncontrollable.

But we're not hopeless, and we can help. I donated what I could to the flood relief appeal and hope that some of you (man, even one of you) can too. Every little bit helps, I've heard that so much this past week but it's very true. Dig deep, bunnies! Keep the people of Queensland in your thoughts (and prayers, if that's your thing) and send all the positive vibes in their direction that you can muster!
