Im laughing my ass off at this concept I've just come up with;
Steddie au where steve is a night guard at some statue museum and eddie is a statue (what he is exactly i don't know lol)
Maybe a lil NATM (Night at the Museum) kind of vibes or something BUT the point is Steve practices his flirting with the statues and laments about his failed dates and 'failing' life, then one day he's looking out the high wide windows and makes a wish on a shooting start. He wants to be loved and cared for in the most intense way and he let's himself be vulnerable for a moment because when he was a child his nanny told him stories about wishing on stars.
So he goes back to his favorite statue, 'Eddie', a beautiful man shaped out of marble and looks so soft and so pretty that Steve regularly aches and wishes this man were real. He says some dumb pick up line, "If you let me borrow a kiss, I promise to give it right back." And chuckles to himself (part in pity and part in humor because he actually find that line funny) then remembers he's been written up before for getting too close to the statues and steps away from the beautiful one in front of him.
A cold solid hand grips his wrist, and smooth voice follows, "A kiss would be nice, yes?"
And Steve passes out. The last thing he sees is the grinning face of the statue 'Eddie'.
