holding my tongue....
I don't understand why ppl open their mouth abt smt they know nothing about. What happened to shutting up when you don't know something? Aren't you tired to be loud AND wrong???
Lestat fans are being weird again lmao. Nuance is a thing, you know. Have you all not ever heard "love to hate and hate to love"? Like, Lestat is a horrible person. There's no getting around it, but there's also no getting around that he is also charming, sassy, and charismatic. I can hate him and love him at the same time. I can be attracted to him without acting like a weird devotee. In fact, my discomfort with my attraction to him *and* Louis is a part of what makes the story appealing.
I promise you all it's okay to read more books and actually put in the effort to actually learn about media analysis instead of cherry-picking the key terms and using them wrong.
OMG READ MORE!
I'm currently reading a paperback reissue of a very old book. A no-doubt diligent but not well-read copy editor "corrected" a sentence to read as follows:
"Tourists came in breaks to view the dragon."
This makes no sense.
The original obviously read "Tourists came in brakes." A brake is a kind of carriage.
