Hey, Arch here, and, well... Something rather unpleasant seems to have happened.

I'm 99% percent sure my actual blog got hacked, but whatever happened exactly it seems it's been terminated. I've sent a note to our dear Staff about it, and hoping it gets sorted sometime this side of the decade, but until then I've decided to try and make a back up blog on a different email to try and 'stay in touch', so to speak.

Gonna be honest with yah, if they really do roll out that new site-breaking feature update it might be the thing that finally destroys me as a person. Tumblr is the only social media site I can have fun instead of subjectign myself to a constant barrage of bad news.

hey @staff restore @cages-boxes-hunters-foxes asap please!! jaime is such an important part of the swiftie community on here and we miss her more than words can even describe. she truly did not deserve to have her blog deleted and i’m sure so many of us on here can vouch for that. please do something. we are quite literally begging

Hey with the new update, saying "prev tags" is even more useless now cuz clicking on someone's url just takes you to the top of their blog, and not to the post you're trying to see

@staff please please please fix this. There's so many reasons this update is bad, not just being unable to see what "prev tags" someone is talking about

Sometimes you just want to see the original post cuz op made a funny change to it

Sometimes you want to reblog from a certain person, for any number of reasons. Maybe they're a mutual, or maybe somebody started some bs in the chain so you want to rb from the last sane person there without deleting all of the comments altogether

Maybe you see an idiotic or bigoted take and you're just curious to see if they deleted that version or if they still believe what they said

This seems like a really small and insignificant update but it severely hampers the way I and many others use this site

Likes by the Page - A Request to Staff

A while ago (and by “a while” I mean several months or so) @staff changed how the “Likes” page functions. Before the update, it functioned similarly to the rest of tumblr-- you could scroll endlessly, or navigate page-by-page. After the update, while you could still scroll endlessly, you can no longer use the page-by-page method.

The page-by-page method was my favorite way to sort through old likes. Not because of how limited it was, but because it let me deep-dive into my likes in a fraction of the time it took me to scroll. Adding “/page/XXX” to the end of the URL let me skip hundreds, if not thousands, of days into the past, to uncover posts I had long-since forgotten about.

Beautiful works of art and writing. Jokes that haven’t aged a day. Fifteen-minute celebrities whose controversies seemed all-important that week, but 48 hours later entirely faded from our memory. A promising new project from your favorite creator, that in time became their magnum opus. A hiatus announcement from a long-abandoned blog, who was at one time the only person you followed. All these moments trapped in time, reachable once through a simple method, now all the more inaccessible.

I’m making this post both to reminisce on what we once had, but also to humbly request Staff to please, somehow, re-enable the page-by-page functionality to our Likes.
