One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to Daforge fics (or ANY Data fic in general) is when the plot revolves around an ensign or a lower decker being rude or insulting to Data.

First of all, that’s an insubordination charge. Also, Data isn’t a pushover and would automatically call them out and report them. He’s third in command of the Enterprise. Y’all seriously think he’s going to take insults from his junior officers? He probably won’t get angry but it’s in the rules that insubordination can be a court martial offense so he has a right to tell them that.

And second of all, that would never happen. I read one of the tie-in novels (Exiles) where an ensign was on an away team with Data and Riker and she was nice to Data in all of her interactions. She even thought the whole “right to choose” trial was ridiculous because she saw Data as a person! If there’s any officer that feels it’s okay to insult the Second Officer, they don’t deserve to be on the flagship, or any starship for that matter

Every time I see a fanfic where Zoro's hair is pointed out as being 'weird' color - I close the fanfic.

Why would you have characters react to green hair as 'weird' in a world where people just look like that? Where there are passerbys with purple, pink, etc hair in the crowds?? His hair is in no way weird but instead is fairly normal for their world.
