ive been talking to mcr mutuals over discord and mira @girlgerard specifically said something that really stuck with me. urls like "girljoan" and "___ofarc" and "saintsforgirls" used to scare the shit out of me because of so long joan was a terf dogwhistle that me and so many others had to be aware of. now I see those usernames, click on them, and lo and behold it's a trans person or trans ally with a gerard way header/pfp reclaiming her for themselves. and I can't tell you how beautiful that is to me.
