Are You Living To Please The Lord?
If your heart truly desires to please God then you will do whatever it takes. You will allow Him to heal what is broken, save and rescue what is lost, free what is in captivity, sanctify wholly (body, soul, spirit) and deliver from all that is unpleasing to Him. All of this is done by Faith. Only then can one be a new creation in Christ Jesus. God will never do a half job. We can limit the depth of how far we want Him to go by resisting His will for our lives.
Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Is there anything you are choosing to hold onto that is separating you from God? If so, it can only be sin and iniquity. The blessings and rewards of God are only for those who are fully committed to bringing Him glory with their lives. They are given to those who have forsaken this world, who live to obey God's word and not to those who have a partial commitment. 50% of being FREE is being willing to receive from Jesus Christ and the other 50% is Jesus always willing to give.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, here I am. Change what must be changed in me so I can be pleasing in your sight. I want my spirit and life to be a sweet smelling aroma in your nostrils. Instruct and direct me in your Word. Fill me and empower me through your Spirit so that I will master the sin that has mastered me my whole life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
Isaiah 59:1-2: Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isaiah 61:1-3: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
