When Wrong Seems Right
This is a very powerful message by G. Craig Lewis at Ex-Ministires.
1Tim. 4:2 'These liars have lied so well and for so long that they’ve lost their capacity for truth.' The Message
Sometimes we can do wrong so long that we begin to believe we are right. Our conscience, as the Word of God teaches us, can be seared so that it no longer convicts us of certain things. For example, have you ever been searching the internet for something and ran across a site that contains pornography? Well, when you first see it, it's like, "Dang! that is a shame before God!" Then when you try to click out of it, it seems like the pages keep coming back. They do that for a reason. Let me explain. Porn site developers know the power of searing your conscience. They know if they keep the pages coming, you will keep seeing the porn. They are desensitizing you and lowering your shock factor. And if you don't shut the thing down quickly, those pages become interesting and your investigative mind begins to look the pages over. After a while, you will find yourself clicking on the pages to view the "free samples" and your curiosity begins to override your convictions. And after a long period of time, you stop hearing the conviction of God about it and you become addicted to pornography! That's the way sin is. We can practice sin for a long period of time, and cause our conviction about that sin to be minimized. We can actually program our minds and our spirit to accept it and block the conviction of God. This is what the reprobate experiences. When God gives you over to your own lusts, there is no more conviction. The seed of righteousness will no longer operate in you to convict you of sin. This is a sad state, but this is were many of us are in the body of Christ today. You see, any time you continually practice something, you will eventually master it. Sin is the same way. If you practice sin constantly you will become immune to the truth. The truth about your sin will no longer convict you. This is how someone can live in sin so long, and not desire to change. Even when the Word of God comes through a preacher or another saint, you get mad and defensive towards them. The sin in you makes you angry at the very one that is trying to help you. Remember when King David sinned with Bathsheba? Well, when he was first approached by Nathan, he was angry at what Nathan told him. He was like, "tell me who this evil person is and I'll punish him!" He did not see his own sin at first because he had been in a relationship with this woman and had practiced his sin too long. How many times have you talked about people that are doing the same things you are doing? How many times have you sat through a message that was suppose to convict you, but instead, you got angry at the messenger for talking about your sin? We cannot live in this state as true believers. We must not continue to practice sin because it leads to reprobacy and at that point, the conviction of the Holy Ghost is not effective. You will then begin to enjoy the sin more than you enjoy the things of God. Sin separates you from God and causes you to rely on your own judgment which changes the course of your life from his will to yours. Please my brothers and sisters, take a good look at where you are and what you are doing. Are there things in your life that you should not be enjoying even though you are? Are there things in your life that are sinful, yet you have lost your conviction towards them? Well, just as David had a change of heart and was restored to his "right" spirit, which means his conscience was operational again, you can be restored and renewed. Pray what David prayed in Psalms. "Renew a right spirit in me and don't take your Spirit from me! Ask God to give you his heart and his convictions. He will restore you to your rightful place again.

The Most Powerful Position
It's a dangerous place to be in when you lose your passion to pray. Commune with Him today. The most powerful position to be in is on your knees praying to God.
Stay in Position
Do not listen to the temptation to act out of character. Your situation talks, your issue talks, your temptation talks. It will tell you that your prayers will not be answered and that there is no way things will work out. It will speak doubt accusing you of being unfaithful and will condemn everything God is showing you. It will tell you not to pray and not to listen to Jesus.
Jesus is ALWAYS the answer. Don’t listen to the temptation to act out of character or react badly to the emotional weight that you may be experiencing while waiting in God. You must thank Jesus despite of.
"Lord I want to be saved but I don't want to give up all of my sins."
In the church today, many people's hearts are truly saying that they want to be saved but they are not ready to give up all of their sins. They desire freedom from the sinful bondage except for those last few sinful habits that bring them pleasure. They find themselves in a lukewarm place. In-Between, Neutral or Middle ground. There is NO NEUTRAL OR MIDDLE GROUND IN SALVATION. One belongs to God or satan.
"I want to be saved but I'm not ready to give up all my sins." The "thrill" of the sin is greater than their desire to live Holy and acceptable before the Lord. Their hearts say, "I know it's wrong, BUT I really want it," or, "I know it's dangerous, but it's worth the risk." For some people part of the "FUN" is going against God's law. That's the "FUEL" that keeps the fire burning. God will NEVER save you from most of your sins and leave you with just a few. He never does an incomplete job. God is always ready to deliver from ALL sins and disconnect you from every chain the devil has connected himself to you with. Nevertheless, it's up to you to SURRENDER your WHOLE HEART to the Lord believing and trusting that HE IS the only solution. Only then will you have total and complete deliverance and freedom from the sinful bondage.
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Galatians 6:9: Do not be deceived. God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
Ecclesiastes 8:11-13: Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil. Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will be well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly. But it will not be well for the evil man and he will not lengthen his days like a shadow, because he does not fear God.
Hebrews 4:14-16: Having then a great high priest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities (sympathize with with our weakness); but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.
Hebrews 7:25: Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Jude 1:24: Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.
Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Selfish Ambition
Many parents make the mistake of pushing their children to be selfishly ambitious and void of the desire to please God. Because of their own personal struggles, failed marriages, etc. they do not encourage their offspring to seek God’s perfect plan for their lives because they view their own lives as falling short of God’s plan. So, they encourage getting ahead in life and accomplishing things for money, power, status, and earthly accolades. These things quickly become the focus of our youth and self becomes the pathway for their future. God is usually added to their plans but not allowed to lead them into His plan for them.
We are reaping the effects of this in our churches. Leaders are focused on money, appearance, and carnal lusts instead of God’s will and plan for them. This has spread to the membership as well. Many go to church for positions, status, quota, etc. but are not allowing God’s word to be their guide. They are following the path that they were following before Christ while claiming Christianity as their religion. This is not possible. To accept Christ without giving up yourself is impossible. Jesus let us know what the formula for coming to Him is and it is all about self denial. How can we live for selfish ambitions and motives and deny our self? To come to Christ is to die to oneself.
Matt. 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Matt. 19:29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
Matt. 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

FAITH IS GOVERNED BY OUR CONFESSION
ROMANS 10:9, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Christianity is called the great confession. It heads up in Christ by the way He confessed and next it comes to us by our bold declaration of the utter truthfulness of the living Word. The law of that confession is that I confess I have a thing before I consciously possess it. In other words, faith requires us to speak before we see or feel the results. Your confession is your present attitude towards the Father. If it is positive, your attitude towards the Father is positive. If your confession is negative, it is unbelief dominating your heart. Unbelief grows with negative confession. The Word of God coming out of your lips produces an overcoming Spirit in you. Your spirit always responds to your confession. If your confession is neutral, your faith is neutral and neutral confession is just as bad as unbelief. A confession of failure puts failure on the throne. If I confess sickness, I am held in bondage by it. Faith never goes beyond our confession. As far as our confession goes is as far as faith goes because faith does not ask for the possible, it demands the impossible. When you speak faith, you launch out into the realm of the impossible just like Abraham did when he asked for a child in old age. As a Christian, when you realise that you can never rise above the level of your words, you are getting to the place where God can really use you.
PRAYER: Oh Holy Spirit, teach me to fill the air with positive words that edify, bless, heal, cure, save and bring joy, in Jesus Christ’s name.

Are You Living To Please The Lord?
If your heart truly desires to please God then you will do whatever it takes. You will allow Him to heal what is broken, save and rescue what is lost, free what is in captivity, sanctify wholly (body, soul, spirit) and deliver from all that is unpleasing to Him. All of this is done by Faith. Only then can one be a new creation in Christ Jesus. God will never do a half job. We can limit the depth of how far we want Him to go by resisting His will for our lives.
Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Is there anything you are choosing to hold onto that is separating you from God? If so, it can only be sin and iniquity. The blessings and rewards of God are only for those who are fully committed to bringing Him glory with their lives. They are given to those who have forsaken this world, who live to obey God's word and not to those who have a partial commitment. 50% of being FREE is being willing to receive from Jesus Christ and the other 50% is Jesus always willing to give.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, here I am. Change what must be changed in me so I can be pleasing in your sight. I want my spirit and life to be a sweet smelling aroma in your nostrils. Instruct and direct me in your Word. Fill me and empower me through your Spirit so that I will master the sin that has mastered me my whole life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen!
Isaiah 59:1-2: Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isaiah 61:1-3: The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Faith in God Has Great Rewards
It honors and pleases God to believe His Word when your circumstances contradict what He says. A man who lives by faith does not need to "see it" to believe it. He walks by faith (God's Word) and not by sight. When we walk by faith we do not depend on or need sight to direct us. However, one who walks by sight does not depend or need the Word of God to direct them.
A man who lives by faith needs no proof in senses (touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing/sound) to believe God. A man who lives by faith trusts God not only in hard times but makes it a lifestyle to trust and involve Him in ordinary everyday circumstances. Living by faith is not giving God orders and commands but is a lifestyle of trusting in God's Word. Living by faith is involving God in all our decisions. It is essential to get His opinion and then obey it. When we involve God in our everyday decisions, the One who created the Heavens and the Earth and all that is in it, is there to assist us in all that we do.
Prayer: Lord Help me to walk by Faith and not by sight. Open my eyes of faith and direct my every step. Fill my heart with your Word and character. Give me an obedient heart so that when I receive your Word I will obey it. In Jesus' Name, Amen. 2 Corinthians 5:7: For we walk by faith and not by sight Hebrews11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Romans 10:17: So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Be Encouraged despite the difficulty and opposition you are facing today. God is FAITHFUL. Let patience work its perfecting work. Persevere. DO NOT give up. Hold on to your confidence in God. It has a great reward
Jesus will prove who you really are!
Jesus will prove who truly are His servants and who are just imitating faith. He will prove who is part of the body of Christ and not just an accessory forming themselves around the body. He will prove who is a child of God and who is an enemy of God. The best part of all is that if you are an imitator, an accessory, or an enemy of God, He desires to save you and make you a genuine Christian (one who follows Christ through His Word). Christ and His Word are 1.
What do your words reveal?
Wars begin because of words. Love begins because of words. Peace begins because of words. Peace comes when great men get together, negotiate and dialogue. Words created the world. Genesis 1:1-3 - “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, ‘Let there be light’; and there was light.” Words create your world. Are you living in the realm of peace, joy, victory? The Bible says that the kind of world you live in is determined by the words of your mouth. God stressed the importance of our confession when He said, “Whatever you ask in my name, that I will do” (John 15:16). There will be an account given of the words spoken by your mouth. If they are not according to the truth of God’s Word, they will be idle, meaningless and oftentimes destructive. Be careful of your words because the words a man speaks create the blessings or the curses that come his way. It is never a neutral force. It is either speaking the words of life or the words of death.
Be The Example
INSTEAD of complaining about how the church is so messed up, how everyone is fake and a hypocrite, how the church just wants your money, how judgmental Christians are, etc, GET SAVED, SANCTIFIED, AND FILLED WITH HIS HOLY SPIRIT SO YOU CAN BE THE EXAMPLE OF WHAT NOT TO BE. Allow God's Power to Love, Heal, Deliver, and Bless flow through you so that people can be drawn to the GLORY of God that He placed in you. Truth be told, if His Power isn't flowing through you, He desires to have it flow through you. 50% of getting it just comes from being willing to follow Him. Live HOLY and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your actions and life. Many of the best messages are preached without WORDS!. BE THE EXAMPLE OF WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CHRISTIAN instead of KILLING and CONDEMNING the church with your words.
Hold ON!!! Don't Let Go!!!
Don't let the devil change your mind. Don't let him change your mind about salvation, about holiness, about what God promised you, about how much Jesus loves you or about the Truth of God's Word. You don't have to compromise. Hold fast to your confession and faith in Jesus Christ. Hold On as hard as you can. Don't Let Go. Rest in God's faithful and unchanging hand. God will see us through. PERSEVERE!! You can make it with Jesus!
Per-se-vere: v. to continue to do something or trying to do something even though it is difficult
Hebrews 4:14-16 (CEB):
14 Also, let’s hold on to the confession since we have a great high priest who passed through the heavens, who is Jesus, God’s Son;
15 because we don’t have a high priest who can’t sympathize with our weaknesses but instead one who was tempted in every way that we are, except without sin.
16 Finally, let’s draw near to the throne of favor with confidence so that we can receive mercy and find grace when we need help.
FAITH CELEBRATES THE VICTORY
A man of faith would say, “Thank You, Jesus, for healing me”, even when the pain is yet there. A man of faith would say, “Thank You, Jesus, for blessing me”, even when the signs of poverty are yet there. A man of faith would say, “Thank You, Jesus, for setting me free”, even when he is yet to obtain real freedom. A man of faith is not overwhelmed by the happenings around but looks beyond him to what God is saying. When you are overwhelmed by what is seen, your situation will become bigger than what you can handle – leading to fear, anxiety and worry. However, a look of faith knows what God says about a situation – and what God says is final. This is the kind of faith Jesus expressed in His Father during His earthly ministry. For example, in John 11:41, Jesus thanked His Father for hearing Him, even when He was yet to pray. This was an expression of absolute trust in His Father that He was working out the answer. Remember, when Jesus was thanking God, Lazarus was still in the grave; but as a man of faith, Jesus would not be overwhelmed by what was seen. What was seen was the dead body of Lazarus in the tomb. Remember, Jesus was thanking His Father in anticipation of what He was expecting. He gave testimony of what had happened in the past (John 11:42). Faith celebrates the victory even when the war still seems to be waging around you. By faith, celebrate your victory now!
Let Jesus Be Your Plan
Philippians 4:19: And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (ESV)
Jesus must be our first and only plan. He hates being used as an after thought or back up plan. When we have a "back up plan" or "plan b", it reveals our false humility that masquerades our doubt and unbelief. It translates to Christ as "just in case you don't work or come through I have a plan b." JESUS NEVER FAILS. Our faith in Him does. It fails only when we place our trust and belief in anything other than His Word. He promises to supply all of our need according to His riches and glory. That promise doesn't change just because my bank account may be low, or the doctor says I'm sick, or it feels like things won't change. His Word is true regardless of our emotions and situations. The only barrier we have is our level of belief.
Have faith in God through His Word. You must stand on His Word even when your flesh, thoughts, feelings, life, situations, friends and family oppose it. When we keep our faith in God it will ALWAYS bring peace into the heart of the believer in the midst of troubles and problems. Faith in Jesus is what brings Him to the scene instantly to solve life's problems. Be encouraged by trusting in Jesus further!!
Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (ESV)
