I honestly didn’t think it was a bad idea when Pledis decided to merge all their artist's music into one YTchannel. I actually thought it would be a good move and would help all their artists in the long run since it would bring all these fandoms together to one channel and stir possible interest to other artists in the company. Plus this is not a new concept since there are a handful of big companies that already do this like SM, Starship, and JYP and they don’t have any problem with it. No one said anything or protested when Nu’est W’s latest comeback was uploaded to the Pledis Channel, everyone just watched the MV and supported the group just as they did when MVs were uploaded to the Nu’est channel. It was only Seventeen fans who flipped out. They thought the move would hurt Seventeen because Pledis channel had fewer subscribers? You don’t need to subscribe to see the MV and what’s wrong with subscribing to Pledis anyways? It’s still visible everywhere on YouTube AND it’s still accessible through Seventeen’s channel. The ironic thing is, Carats thought the move would hurt Seventeen and their career but who were the ones who disliked and flagged their MV when it was on Pledis’ channel? Carats. So who really was hurting Seventeen then? I’m actually sad Pledis decided to reverse their decision. I really thought this was a good opportunity to strengthen Pledis family as a whole since all their artists are close to each other. But clearly, some Carats thought Seventeen was too good for Pledis family and needed to stay exclusive. Sorry for the rant.
