After months of planning I'm delighted to announce my upcoming outdoor painting workshop on 13th & 14th November 2020. From desert plains to ocean waves, this Is going to be two days of non stop adventure and learning as we tackle painting the desert mountains and the beautiful coastline of Fujairah. This is the perfect opportunity to get back out in the fresh air, something we have all been craving, and learn some new painting skills in some of the UAE’s most epic landscapes. Posted @withregram • @kristenolsonstone I finally finished this beautiful painting of Divers Cove. It’s a 30” x 40” original oil painting. I love this view. The afternoon light there is spectacular. I painted the underpainting in acrylic and then finished it in oils. I love the clarity in the waves and water, the reflections of the cliff in the distant wet sand and the glow of the afternoon sun on the cliff and hills full of lovely homes in Laguna Beach. The iconic rounded sea rocks in the foreground anchor the foreground of the painting and provide a nice contrast to the softness and texture of the waves. I have a plein air painting workshop next week on March 11th-12th in Laguna Beach.
