maybe it was a little bit despicable of her to practically be camping out in the library in wait, but peach had never been the type to leave things be. she needed to know who it was, the person who she’d been communicating with for the past two weeks through notes stuck in a book in the library. they’d started silly, her finishing a joke before they could, little dumb comments, things that seemed flirtatious. she’d already decided that it had to be a person in one of her classes, since the book was written by the lecturer, but she’d spent way too much time staring around the room wondering who it was. it was a distraction and she didn’t like the urge to wonder, the uncertainty and the worry that they already knew who she was. peach pretended to have her head in a book, hunched over at the single desk as soon as she caught sight of movement in the bookshelves beside her. she waited until they opened it to her post-it note, until the very last second, as they pulled out a pen and then she slammed her book down. “ha!” she did a double take, noticing them. “oh... it’s you. you’re the one who i’ve been talking to?” she wasn’t sure how she felt about it.
