Geten oughhh I love you Geten
Tomoyasu the woman you aren’t 😩
What do you think the mla members do in their casual? Like, a small slice-of-life moment. No mla, no stress, just what do they do?
Awww wait hold on I love this bc like world building is so fun
Re-Destro: He’s such a dad about it. He’ll tell you he’s “catching up on paperwork” but what he’s actually doing is sitting on the couch in sweatpants that cost more than your rent, drinking tea, and watching old black-and-white documentaries about political movements like they’re comfort TV. He also lowkey stress-bakes when nobody’s looking like, he makes immaculate bread. Don’t ask.
Trumpet: He’s the most normal until you realize he treats casual life like another performance. He’ll go for long walks in the city, duck into wine bars, chat up strangers just because he likes hearing his own voice bounce off new people. He plays piano so well and uses it like therapy but if you walk in on him, he’ll stop immediately, because that’s private. He also probably cooks and helps Rikiya stress bake bc that man is also a stresser they're all stressers let's be real
Skeptic: Skeptic does nothing normal. His “casual” is locking himself in his office to build stupid little robots that follow him around like cats. He yells at them like they’re roommates. He doomscrolls forums and argues with teenagers online because he’s convinced he’s teaching them “critical thought.” He also stress-cleans his apartment at 3 a.m.
Geten: This boy has no hobbies. He trains. That’s it. But if you force him to do casual shit? He reads. Stoic little bastard curled up in a parka with a book that’s way too complicated for fun. And when he’s tired enough, he’ll just sit outside at night, staring at the snow like it’s talking back to him
Curious: Absolute gremlin. She goes thrifting for weird clothes, drags her friends into karaoke bars, makes everyone do dumb personality quizzes just so she can “interview” them about their answers. She is never not recording, even if it’s just her humming into a voice memo while cooking instant ramen. Casual Curious is still Curious, just with sillier questions methinks
Slowly spiraling into insanity btw
I return with more questions! Can we have HCs for how you feel about the omegaverse AU for the MLA?
I'm especially fascinated in how the MLA adjusts ideology wise. Do they support and fund underground clinics? I feel like they would believe in basic healthcare when it comes to ruts/heats/those with pups, villain or not. Do they champion equality of all three subgenders? That omegas can be strong and independent, that alphas aren't aggressive monsters, that betas have just as much use as the other two.
Personal headcannons, Geten was an omega forced to transition into an alpha (to go along with his inner might makes right trauma?). Hanabata is either an beta or an alpha pretending at beta (gets more votes and seems more trustworthy). Rikiya I don't have a clue for, because I like the idea of him on any side of the spectrum. Destro being an non-traditional omega revolutionist would strike me as very fitting but the idea of him being a beta or the Yotsubashi line being a strong line of legacy alphas also works well. Skeptic is another I put in between alpha and beta on the spectrum. Curious I hard head cannon as alpha, that women has power and exudes it.
Also do enigmas exist in this AU? I like the idea of AFO being an enigma from his multitude of quirks or him bio-engineering himself into a new, horrifying chimera category. It just feels like he would do something insane like that and freak everyone else out in the process.
Lots of love, I love your MLA content <3
I get so hyped any time I get an MLA ask (which SUCKS right now because I am completely revamping ALL of my world building docs because the OCDemons have come for me and my formatting), I'm so glad people like my MLA thoughts enough to pester me about them, therefore, cracks knuckles.
A quick refresh on my OV world building for MHA before we get into this, since I use my world building universally:
💬 0 🔁 0 ❤️ 15 · MHA Omegaverse Worldbuilding · The Google Document I wanna do omegaverse stuff but I'm so anal about getting things set i
This is really fun to me bc I can go grab my omegaverse world building that I use in my fics. I've like never shared these with the general public as far as I'm aware, some people have gotten snippets in servers and stuff though.
I'll put it in text form too
Name - Alias - Presentation - Scent Profile
Himura Geten - Iceman - Alpha - Frost, Mint, Broth, Wool, Ozone, Dry Ice
Yotsubashi Rikiya - Re-Destro - Alpha - Hot Metal, Coffee, Printer Ink, Ozone, Cologne
Hanabata Koku - Trumpet - Alpha - Dried Rose, Eucalyptus, Wool, Valve Oil, Champagne, Cigars
Chikazoku Tomoyasu - Skeptic - Omega - Static, Citrus, Wool, Vanilla, Coconut, Coffee
Kizuki Chitose - Curious - Alpha - Talcum Powder, Soy Broth, Cordite Smoke, Ink, Green Tea
I think that instead of funding underground clinics, the MLA just *has* clinics that simply don't do background checks. They're perfectly legal, well established low cost clinics for the general populace in their three main cities (Gunga (city, not villa), Deika, and Jakku).
The whole point of the MLA's philosophy is that quirks are liberation from the artificial constraints of "hero society," right? So in my OV stuff, that extends straight into subgender dynamics as another layer of the same systemic bullshit. Subgenders didn't exist pre-quirk era in any meaningful way (they're a quirk-induced mutation layer, the "Second Awakening" as I call it in my docs), but once they popped up, society immediately started slapping the same old control mechanisms on them with stigma and stereotypes despite what modern medicine says otherwise.
The MLA would see all of that as just another form of quirk suppression dressed up in scent-neutral cologne and polite medical brochures. Liberation means you get to express your subgender fully, without the state or hero commissions dictating what "safe" or "acceptable" looks like. It's all framed as personal freedom intersecting with quirk expression. Your body, your cycles, your instincts are part of your evolutionary right to power.
I feel like they'd have a lot more support in an omegaverse timeline than the normal one, due to the clinics. It would be less of a hush hush movement and more like something people knew about, didn't necessarily agree with, but saw as a necessary evil. After all, you can't complain about them helping villains when your aunt went to one of their clinics when the HPSC/Government funded hospitals turned her away because she couldn't afford their care. The government is taking it's sweet time catching up with subgenders after just barely getting their footing with quirks in general, and then you have the MLA funding research into new medicine that causes less side effects and more effective subgender HRT and promoting an image that omegas can do just as much as alphas can while the HPSC won't admit that one of the biggest reasons why their number two hero will never even be in the running to be number one is because he's an omega who carried all four of his own children, and that makes him a 'less than ideal candidate'. (There's a minor scandal in the omegaverse timeline that someone in the HPSC tried to rig the next hero billboards so Hawks would go in #1 instead of Endeavor due to the flame hero being an omega and the wing hero being a (public presenting) beta).
I think it's important to note that just in general, omegaverse absent, the MLA influence heavy cities have the lowest amount of crime and discrimination, the highest amount of general satisfaction from the population, the lowest poverty rates, etc. At the same time they also have record low counts for heroes on duty, there are some, who are secretly sponsored through the MLA (like Slide'n'go), but there's just not a need. The few HPSC aligned pros are kept at arms length by the general populace in the area and have low hero rankings because everyone in those cities knows someone who is better off due to the MLA's influence.
So then add omegaverse and you're just stirring the pot at that point. MLA-controlled cities treat heats, ruts, and pup-rearing as public health issues, not moral failings or villain liabilities. No background checks means a villain with a heat crashing mid-op can walk in, get suppressants, a safe nest room for the duration, and walk out with zero paper trail linking them to whatever hole they're hiding out in. Same for an alpha in a destructive rut or a pregnant omega (male or female) needing prenatal care without the hero commission breathing down their neck about "fitness to parent." They stock pheromone dampeners, fertility aids tailored to quirk interactions, even "experimental" stuff that hasn't been approved by the board yet because it's been patented by Detranaut. The clinics double as recruitment soft spots; doctors and nurses on staff are sympathetic or outright MLA plants who slip in ideological pamphlets alongside the vitamin packs.
I really like ur headcanons icl. I could def see Geten as a transitioned alpha (especially bc he has a twin in my wb who's an omega), but it could be fun if he's just Like That too. Considering my personal wb for his background, I think if he did transition, it would have been immediately after his first heat cycle. He said fuck no we are not doing this (not because of social stigma, but because PTSD got his ass) and put himself on hormones. So regardless, by the time he's started in the MLA he's solidly an alpha.
I do like the thought of Trumpet being a public presenting beta (not super uncommon in politics methinks, look at Hawks for example, he's also an alpha presenting as a beta), however simultaneously I think it would go against the MLA's morals/standards. In one of my OV fics I wanna write, Hawks goes into the MLA pretending to be a beta thinking it would get them to trust him more, it doesn't, because they don't believe that subgender dictates your character, and they just get extra pissed off when they find out he was lying. So maybe, i'm rolling it around in my Mouth.
Redestro is an alpha this is correct. I kind of like the idea that he's a beta who transitioned to an alpha when he inherited Detranaut because he wanted to uphold the same image as his father and his grandfather etc etc. I think sometimes he regrets it mildly, since it feels like betraying himself for a public image, but not enough to actually re-transition back into a beta, that would just be double misportrayal of who he is now that it's been like 20 years or so of him being an alpha.
Skeptic is an omega and mad about it. Not mad enough to transition out of it, and he finds the fact that he is a male omega mildly erotic to the point that the downsides are something he's willing to live with (he's a freak pervert about anything 'strange', basically he's a chaser lmao. Any extreme heteromorphic mutations, unconventional presentations, transgender people. . . someone put this man on a leash he should not be interacting with the general public). I love problematic Skeptic sorry chat :pensive: ANYWAYS, he's mad about it because he gets maternal and that pisses him off. He mother hens the other leaders (especially Geten) and then gets flustered at himself and goes and sulks about it. He's absolutely used the fact that he's an omega to put 'good men' in black mail situations.
Curious is absolutely an alpha no notes perfect score good job anon.
Did I mean to make Skeptic the only omega in a group of alphas? No, but that's okay, we're just gonna pass him around in a circle and everyone can get sloppy seconds (sloppy firsts belong to me).
Enigmas def exist here, methinks, but I've never put much thought into it because it's not the same as standard OV stuff. They're not some shiny fourth subgender, it’s just the catch-all label for anyone whose scent profile or presentation is confusing, inconsistent, blurry, or straight-up contradictory to whatever baseline alpha/omega/beta box society wants to shove them in. It’s super common once you factor in quirk mutations, medical interventions, and plain old biology refusing to stay tidy. Generally, being an 'enigma' just = a weird scent thing going on, and your actual presentation and how it affects you (ruts/heats/picking up on scents/etc) doesn't change, it's just how people perceive your scent
Technically that umbrella covers:
Straight betas, whose neutral baseline can sometimes carry a faint static or “hollow” undertone that makes sensitive noses do a double-take even when there’s zero hormonal spike.
Anyone mid-transition; scent glands in flux, cycles glitching, pheromones layering in weird half-and-half patterns while the body adjusts.
People with damaged or scarred scent glands
Folks whose quirks actively interfere with subgender expression no matter what their actual presentation is
People who’ve already completed a transition: there’s often this subtle underlying sublayer, like a ghost note of the original presentation that never fully fades, so an ex-omega alpha might still carry a faint sweet edge under the dominant musk.
And a huge chunk of animal-type heteromorphs, especially female alphas. Their physiology just doesn’t always follow the standard rules; they can layer an instinct-driven animal heat cycle on top of (or instead of) a typical subgender one, which blurs the scent into something hybrid and unpredictable. It’s worse with certain animal traits, because the secondary mutation doesn’t play nice with the quirk-era uterus stuff.
Had to think pretty hard on this one, but I've got some examples as to what would constitute as an enigma in my world building:
Izuku and All Might — both solid alphas on paper, but One For All has this cumulative layering effect that mixes their scents over time into something that almost reads like overlapping signatures, especially when Izuku’s stockpiling more power. It’s subtle at first, then unmistakable.
Yuga — He's an omega but his quirk was literally grafted on; his scent carries this artificial, sparkling instability that flickers like a faulty circuit, making him read “off” even if it doesn't affect how his presentation affects him
AFO — I think he started as omega, hard-transitioned into alpha, then piled on a mountain of stolen quirks that scrambled the whole system
Manga Fukidashi — He's a beta whose head is a literal speech bubble, so he doesn't have neck scent glands at all
Tamaki — An omega whose scent goes completely haywire and takes time to settle back after he uses his quirk; it’s like his body temporarily forgets what it’s supposed to smell like.
Mirio — He's an alpha whose scent glands basically “reset” every single time he phases fully with Permeation, leaving this clean-slate blank that snaps back after a few minutes.
Nezu — he doesn’t have a traditional subgender presentation at all, but being around him triggers this instinctive “wait, there should be something there” itch in alphas and omegas that never quite lands
Mirko — she's a female alpha who's also an animal type heteromorph overlay; her scent has these sharp, instinct-driven shifts that don’t sync to standard cycle timing, plus the animalistic heat layer makes her read blurry even on her most alpha days. Since she's a rabbit she's literally constantly in heat due to her quirk itself, but she doesn't experience subgender heats as an alpha, which scrambles her scent and gives everyone head aches if she doesn't use scent suppressants
Dabi — He's a beta, but years of quirk overuse basically cauterized most of his scent glands
Overhaul — An omega, but he can fuck around with his scent and glands at will due to his quirk. He purposefully makes it headache inducing or just plain absent depending on his mood
This was super fun to mess with and think about <333 Lots of love right back at you anon, I love asks about my fuck ass world building
Skeptic strawpage doodles
Feel free to ignore the question.
But… for the mla guys. What’s your hc on their “size” if you know what I mean? Since I saw you make some nsfw hc, I thought I might as well ask if it’s okay.
Yk I’ve never actually thought about this considering my thought process when I write porn is “good enough to get the job done” but realistically speaking hmmm
Well. Okay I’m going to be honest I’m laughing like a loon while I type this out so behold, under the cut, the schlongs.
